Spring equinox is still two weeks away, but Florida clearly has other plans. In the next 24 hours. Down in South Florida, you're looking at a high near 79 degrees. An east wind blows around 15 miles an hour. Watch out for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon between 3 and 10 P.M. Tonight holds at a muggy 74 degrees. Head up to Central Florida and you'll find mostly sunny skies. Highs reach 83 degrees. Patchy fog develops after 4 A.M. Lows drop to about 65. North Florida stays mostly sunny with a high near 77. Areas of fog drift in after midnight. Tonight's low cools to 60 degrees. Over in Tampa Bay, you're seeing the warmest conditions. Highs climb to 86 degrees with just a slight chance of showers after 4 P.M. Tonight's low sits around 67. A few important notes for beachgoers. There's a high rip current risk along Atlantic beaches from Palm Beach through Miami-Dade through Friday evening. Please swim near a lifeguard. Tonight also brings a Full Moon. Perfect for an evening walk if the storms stay away. Looking ahead, this summer-like pattern holds through early next week. Highs climb into the mid to upper 80s inland with near record warmth possible. Expect daily afternoon shower chances, but nothing widespread.
