Arkansas. Nevada. Florida. Three families destroyed in the past few weeks. Five children dead. Three mothers gone. All connected to family breakdown, divorce stress, and custody conflict. And the press is covering all three as isolated tragedies. They are not isolated. They are warning signals from a system that was designed to resolve legal disputes, not stabilize human beings in psychological crisis. After nearly twenty years working in this space I can tell you: this is not a mystery. These are predictable outcomes of an adversarial family court model that pushes people further toward the edge instead of building off-ramps. Idaho is moving House Bill 824 toward real custody reform. Every state needs to be watching. The question is not whether the system is failing. The question is whether we are willing to build something that actually protects children.
