About this listen

Spirituality is the personal search for meaning, purpose, and connection beyond the physical world. It is not limited to religion, though it can include religious beliefs and practices. Instead, spirituality is about how a person understands their inner self, their relationship with others, nature, and a higher power or universal energy, depending on their belief system.
At its core, spirituality focuses on inner growth, peace, and awareness. It encourages reflection, self-discovery, and a deeper understanding of life’s experiences, both good and difficult. Many people express spirituality through prayer, meditation, gratitude, mindfulness, or acts of kindness and compassion. Spirituality can also provide strength during challenges, helping individuals find hope, resilience, and clarity when facing uncertainty. For some, it is a structured belief system; for others, it is a quiet personal journey of becoming more grounded, conscious, and connected to something greater than themselvesCopyright Ekemini Akpabio

    Why Does God Allow Suffering?
Suffering is one of the biggest questions many people ask in life. People often wonder why a loving and powerful God would allow pain, sickness, loss, and hardship. According to Christian teaching, suffering came into the world because of sin and the brokenness of humanity. When sin entered the world, pain and problems followed.
God does not always cause suffering, but He may allow it for reasons beyond human understanding. Sometimes suffering helps people grow stronger in faith, build patience, and develop character. Hard times can teach lessons that comfort and success may never teach.

Suffering can also bring people closer to God. In moments of pain, many people pray more, seek God sincerely, and learn to trust Him deeply. God promises to be with His people during trials, giving them strength and comfort. them strength and comfort.

Another reason suffering exists is because humans have free will. People make choices, and some wrong choices bring pain to others. Wars, hatred, and injustice often come from human actions rather than God’s desire.

Even though suffering is painful, Christians believe it is temporary. God has promised a future where there will be no more pain, tears, or death. Through faith in Jesus Christ, people can have hope that suffering will not last forever. In conclusion, God may allow suffering for reasons we do not always understand, but He never abandons people in their pain. He can use suffering for good, strengthen faith, and give hope for a better future.
