August 1987. A boy named Caleb disappears from a cul-de-sac in Parma, Ohio, while his older sister watches from a bedroom window. Twenty years later, Luna returns to the house where she grew up, still haunted by the image of the man in the straw hat who stood at the end of the driveway that night, and the single red light that flickered on at the telephone junction box just before Caleb vanished. A story about the spaces between streetlights, the silence that swallows screams, and the calls that never reach anyone. Based on a transcript Luna found in the Parma Police Department archives while working a temp job in the clerk's office in 2009.
