Employed as a lumberman prior to service;

member of Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity; his great-grandfather served in the War of 1812; Graduated with A. B. Degree from Missouri State University;

one brother, George H. Moore, was a United States Collector of Internal Revenue,

another brother, Captain William E. Moore, served in the war;
