Okay, so it looks like the Kelly Club is finally closing down - it had to happen sooner or later. And it isn’t as if Les Norton will starve. He has money snookered away, he owns his house, and his blue-chip investment - a block of flats in Randwick - must be worth a fortune by now. Except that the place is falling down, the council is reclaiming the land, there’s been a murder in Flat 5, and the tenants are the biggest bunch of misfits since the Manson family. Love this author and narrator. Just a romping good story. It is very funny in an unique Australian way. I am not sure that non Australians will understand the book
Another great Les Norton adventure
Would you listen to Between the Devlin and the Deep Blue Sea again? Why?
Bloody oath mate... Les's adventures always help the time fly when trucking along the boring outback highways of australia.
What did you like best about this story?
Just about every thing. Les norton seems to have a bit of bad luck, & then again he manages to pull himself out of the sh%t.
Have you listened to any of Dino Marnika’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, in just about all of Robert G. Barrett's other books. Dino's voice does Les's character justice & is a treat to listen to.
If you could take any character from Between the Devlin and the Deep Blue Sea out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Definetly the heathen harletts girl rock band!!! coz any red blooded aussie bloke would love to have 5 good sorts around for dinner!
Any additional comments?
This book is just another example of Barrett's awesome Les Norton series.
