Brilliant

I've been on the edge of my seat for the past few weeks owing to this gem of a book. "Crime and Punishment"- Given the cult status of the book, I was sure it would be something, however I was under an impression that it'd be a hard read as many of the classics are. But boy, was I wrong. It is as gripping as it is profound. Fyodor Dostoevsky has all the twists and turns in his masterpiece, many of them occur in the minds and thoughts of his brilliantly written characters. Their convictions and doubts; their fears and dominance speak volumes about Dostoevsky's genius. They say great books are timeless; this one, definitely is.
And I should give a special mention to the greatest narrator ever. Anthony Heald has filled all the characters with life. I can now only think of the characters in his voice. He should be given all the awards for outstanding narration, if there are any :)

Crime and Punishment♡

My favorite classic forever and one of the main reason for this is I'm just like Raskolnikov.

Story Okay. Narrator is Outstanding.

What I liked - The formalities and principles of the characters were interesting.

The was no vulgarity and uncessary sex drama

Not liked -

-Everyone kept losing their mind in the story
-There wasn't much suffering as one would think there should be for a crime
-There wasn't really any redemption or conclusion
-Drama like setting
-No depth in dialogues
-Lots of story but low on entertainment

Narrator -

the Narrator is another level and is the best in business. What amazing narration. the whole book all I thought about was how good the narrator is. In fact I am following the narrator and reading books just because he read them. He is that good. I wish he read to Kill a mockingbird.

What a performance!

While the story is amazing, the audio performance by Mr Anthony Heald should go down as one of the most important one in the history of audiobooks.

Great book, AMAZING narrator

I can't say much about the book that's already been said. It's a fantastic book with an incredibly intriguing protagonist who's jaded character keeps the book interesting till the last minute.

But the true hallmark of this piece is the narrator. his enthusiasm is fantastic and his voice modulation adds a depth to each character far more than I could have imagined. Kudos
