Extremely US-centric
Decent narration but the selection of stories could have been better. For a book that's called Days that changed the 'world' most of the stories revolve around the US and the western world.

Great if you can ignore the production
Good topics, but it's hard to assess the writing, structure and conclusions when the special effects/music are set so loud they obscure the words. Not for people with any kind of auditory issues.

Are shorter audios possible?
Nothing to complain. My question is if you keep extending a narrative just to fill 5, 10,15 or 30 minutes, how can even your avid fans ever listen to all on offer. Of course you will sell less. Assignments to your producers should be given with NO intention to put in 'issue fillers'. If I give you 10 minutes give reasonably dense 10 minutes. Cut it down to 5 if that is all you need. Make us feel we don't want to miss a word of your shows. Gone are the days when we were idle and wanted an always-there companionship on the radio. And oh, I can't find 'the rest was history' in the Audible store.

Good but irritating
This is a good story, but the sound effects, the screeching metal sounds are annoying and unnecessary.

Sad it doesn’t string together
I am three shows into this. The content is very interesting and very well presented. However, it is very disappointing that at the end of an episode it just stops. If you are driving, this leaves you with nothing to listen to, or you can do the dangerous thing of interacting with your cell phone to start the next section. I would give it five stars if only each session linked smoothly to the next as a normal recorded book does or a podcast.

Takes history and makes it personal
This takes history that you may or may not know about and puts it on a personal level, interviewing people who actually lived it. The only compliant I have is the sound design. On some of the episodes, I REALLY hated the sound effects that were super loud. RIP headphone users.

A bias view in many cases-grain of salt needed
Pros: **Free **High quality production **The concept and variety of topics Cons: **whether intentional or not, many of the episodes ooze the authors personal opinions and political views through one sided storytelling which forces anyone seeking honest information to become skeptical about everything presented throughout the series. This series would be amazing if they would begin to tell a truthful and 2 sided story.

excellent yet one sided
it was amazing to listen and really feel like you are learning something, even on a subject that you may already have known about. HOWEVER, it did seem very one sided accounts of history. ("History is written by the victors.") each story gave many faces and dates, yet seemed to focus on one sided of history much of the time. Wonderfully edited, beautiful narrative, excellent delve into history both common and unheard.

A professional job. Great to listen to.
It’s great listening. Very professionally and skillfully put together. The use of sound and different narration and samples is great at feeding the imagination and helps immerse you in the story of each episode. Great work. Highly recommend it.

interesting but verbose.
I got the impression that the material was dumbed down, as it seemed a little repetitive in the content. The multiple speakers, cutting away all the time was distracting for me.

Enjoyed this very much
Inspiring moving and eye opening stories and hearing them from the people who had first hand experience or been through them is humbling. a great effort the only constructive feedback I may give is that some of the chapters had sharp or very high notes of music within the gaps that were a bit irritating other than that all was great

Great to listen to with older children
we were listening it in the car on family trips. stories are short so we could cover a story in one trip mostly. then an iteresting discussion and questions would follow. highly recommend!

Politicised to the point of ruining the series.
What would have been a great series is ruined by a bias toward one side of todays political argument.
