The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series are now presented in awesome binaural audio. Listen with headphones for the full, glorious, effect!

When snow shuts down Greg Heffley's middle school, his neighbourhood transforms into a wintry battlefield.
Rival groups fight over territory, build massive snow forts, and stage epic snowball fights.

And in the crosshairs are Greg and his trusty best friend, Rowley Jefferson. It's a fight for survival as Greg and Rowley navigate alliances, betrayals, and warring gangs in a neighbourhood meltdown.

When the snow clears, will Greg and Rowley emerge as heroes? Or will they even survive to see another day?

This book is a typical winter for a lot of kids (Minus the stuff where it's obvious it's not a typical winter). I think this book is great because a lot of children like Greg don't necessarily have a good time during winter, and this book is great for them to listen to. It gave me that wintery feeling inside. When something bad is about to happen, I think of the worst case scenario. Here is the worst case scenario and beyond, so when you feel like you are in the worst case scenario, listen to 'The Meltdown'. You will realise how good your scenario actually is, compared to Greg. I mean, if Greg can survive it, surely you can too. I think what really crowned it all was the 3D audio sounding. Really had the effect. Many people think these kind of books are not good reads to improve your language and reading skills, but I feel that kids will read books better if they can relate to the situation. Sometimes, just sometimes, they might give you solutions as well. But don't go hiding in your grandma's house with your best friend- don't go that far!

Dan Russell did a perfect job narrating this book, his expressions are so visible without reading the book. The snowball fight at the end was th best part. Loved this book!
