Auf der Ostberliner Seite grau und öde, war sie auf der Westberliner Seite vollgekritzelt und bunt. Anfang der 80er-Jahre notierte Hörspielmacher Ronald Steckel jedes Wort, das irgendjemand irgendwann an die Westberliner Mauer geschrieben hatte: Politische, persönliche und gesellschaftskritische Aussagen standen hier unkommentiert nebeneinander. Wolfgang Neuss las, schrie, flüsterte und sang diese Texte ins Mikrofon und machte daraus den beeindruckenden Soundtrack einer geteilten Stadt.
