Publisher's Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Die Trying is the second book in Lee Child’s internationally popular Jack Reacher series, read by Jeff Harding.

Jack Reacher, alone, strolling nowhere.

A Chicago street in bright sunshine. A young woman, struggling on crutches. Reacher offers her a steadying arm.

And turns to see a handgun aimed at his stomach.

Chained in a dark van racing across America, Reacher doesn't know why they've been kidnapped. The woman claims to be FBI. She's certainly tough enough. But at their remote destination, will raw courage be enough to overcome the hopeless odds?

Although the Jack Reacher novels can be listened to in any order, Die Trying is the second in the series.

Great story, fast paced thriller. Great characters and excellent knowledge about military technique. Wonderful performance by the narrator

Good book. but not the best I've read

Good book. but not the best I've read in reacher series. after the first book, reacher's character was underplayed in this book.
performance of the narrator was monotonous and on the same tone throughout the book.

Gripping story with obvious loopholes

The story is good. Lot of geographical references. Plot is interesting. The hero/heroine should have killed the villain in one of the many chance they get. The book could have been reduced to half if they had done it. I did not find any satisfactory answer to why they did not kill him, so I kept thinking that all the action in later chapters is just extended for sake of writing a long story/novel. Narration is ok, unnecessary voice changes for different characters made it pretty boring for me. The narrator doesnt have that much command over voice changes so the protagonist female and the main villain sound pretty same. I would have loved to listen to the audiobook in one voice.

Story is pretty predictive and boring

Not as good as the first was boring. Story was predictive and similar to a movie.

Good story but poor poor narration

The overall story is quite interesting and a good plot.

Poor voice modulation and intonations.
Female and male voices sound similar.
