Wow! I want more!!!

"When's the next book coming?" That is all I keep thinking. I was in two minds when I bought this audiobook version of Doctor Strange, but was it wonderful! Have listened to it three times already, and even now keep looking for another book on Doctor Strange!

A must listen for Strange fans

Great sounds and performances, decent story, and overall surprisingly good. I’ve never read (or listened to) a comic-based novel before but even without the extra extra that this audio performance has, this was really decent.

Terrible. Utterly.

Distracting backround noise adds nothing (hint: it rarely does). Bad voice overs or distorted vocals. Didn't make it past the first 5m.

Boring narrator

The narrator is borderline monotone. That’s the only downer about this book. Everyone else is great, though.

Fantastical Kirby-esk story

A wonderful if not dark story, rooted in the Marvel ethos, with a brilliant world beautifully brought to life by the cast. Recommended for any Strange fan and anyone who enjoys the Marvel worlds.

It's like a comic book in made of sound!

Not sure what I was expecting when I pre-ordered this. Doctor Strange is one of my favourites from the Marvel Universe so I was a little excited when I first saw it pop up for pre-order. After eagerly awaiting it's released, I loaded up audible and started to listen.
It caught me off guard a little at the start. The audio book is in the style of a radio play, and seemingly has a full cast of characters, along with background music and sound effects. The narration is heard over the top as it tells the story.
My initial reaction was I wasn't going to like it, since there wasn't a sample audio yet (and still isn't as I write this). However, as I listened it felt very much at home with the comic style and I really started to enjoy it.
Overall, if you're into marvel comic, and want to hear what is almost a sound track to a movie, it's well worth the credit. Hopefully there is more to come.
