Publisher's Summary

There just isn't enough time for everything on our to-do list - and there never will be. Successful people don't try to do everything. They learn to focus on the most important tasks and make sure those get done. They eat their frogs. There's an old saying that if the first thing you do each morning is eat a live frog, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you're done with the worst thing you'll have to do all day. For Tracy, eating a frog is a metaphor for tackling your most challenging task - but also the one that can have the greatest positive impact on your life. Eat That Frog! shows you how to organize each day so you can zero in on these critical tasks and accomplish them efficiently and effectively.

In this fully revised and updated edition, Tracy adds two new chapters. The first explains how you can use technology to remind yourself of what is most important and protect yourself from what is least important. The second offers advice for maintaining focus in our era of constant distractions, electronic and otherwise. But one thing remains unchanged: Brian Tracy cuts to the core of what is vital to effective time management: decision, discipline, and determination. This life-changing book will ensure that you get more of your important tasks done - today!

Great Ideas to tackle Procrastination

As the author says, these ideas can totally change our lives. I liked the quotes that author used in the beginning of each chapter. This book is a collection of best ideas to fight the trouble to finish tasks efficiently. Many things seems repetitive, it might be necessary to feed your mind.
I learnt a lot from this self-help book.
I wanna thank Audible again and again to let me read these many books. I will repeat again "I will donate Audible for their benevolence soon".

Great content. Horribly read.

Great content. Very helpful and offers some neat insight. However, his cadence is so strange that it distracts from the message. He makes long pauses in strange places and sometimes in the middle of syllables of words. He’s like an mp3 that’s constantly buffering.

Beneficial to work ethic

This book is well written for motivation. Btian Tracy gives many methods to help oneself overcome procrastination. I appreciate the salami and swiss cheese method. I also like how he presents question as to what is holding you back and such that makes people think about what they want and why they want it. I am thankful that I read this book.

The book gives you tips and solutions to allow you to determine which tastks to do now and which you can delay or even not doing at all! It allows you to be a unsuccessful optimistic person who knows exactly how to do things right! It highlights the importance of planning your day, week, month, year, and even years ahead with your life goals.

Very Practical and Productive steps

When my friend recommended this book, I was actually reading another good book and asked myself what else was there to learn from this one.

Having listened to this, I have to admit that the steps are very practical and that I noticed remarkable results the moment I started implementing some of them.

I highly recommend this for those who work so hard, but leave the office or home without any sense of accomplishment.

As a born procrastinator..

Brian clearly sets out a plan of action for anyone who finds it hard to get started and kindly summarises it at the end into 21 rules that I can pin up in my work space to keep my focus. Many thanks

Great content - Not the most engaging narration.

Brian Tracy is fantastic. This book is great for those out there like myself that would like to be more productive. I believe I already manage my time fairly well but Tracy gives you more insight into the best ways to get more done.

In writing this review, I am 'eating a frog' - Well, maybe a newt. But either way, I recognize my frogs from my tadpoles and my tadpoles from my newts much more clearly now and prioritize more effectively than prior to listening.

The narration is not to everybody's taste. I found Tracy's voice very, very dull unfortunately and I really did not enjoy the tone in which the book was delivered. There is little motivation in the delivery but huge amount in the content.

All in all a 3/5

Worth the 2 and half hours

I found the narrator annoying to listen to at first but got used to it after a couple of chapters. There’s nothing revolutionary about the content but it serves as a gentle reminder to prioritise better. I’ve eaten the frog a few times since listening and it has made me feel slightly better about my workload.

Basically a short version of time management made simple.

Good book. Nothing wrong with it. But it’s basically just “Time management made simple” repeated, with less info. If you already have the other book my opinion is don’t waste your money on this one. You already have the info.

2 hours of giving people tips on how to do the obvious - make lists and prioritise. Nothing new here.
