Publisher's Summary

There just isn't enough time for everything on our to-do list - and there never will be. Successful people don't try to do everything. They learn to focus on the most important tasks and make sure those get done. They eat their frogs. There's an old saying that if the first thing you do each morning is eat a live frog, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you're done with the worst thing you'll have to do all day. For Tracy, eating a frog is a metaphor for tackling your most challenging task - but also the one that can have the greatest positive impact on your life. Eat That Frog! shows you how to organize each day so you can zero in on these critical tasks and accomplish them efficiently and effectively.

In this fully revised and updated edition, Tracy adds two new chapters. The first explains how you can use technology to remind yourself of what is most important and protect yourself from what is least important. The second offers advice for maintaining focus in our era of constant distractions, electronic and otherwise. But one thing remains unchanged: Brian Tracy cuts to the core of what is vital to effective time management: decision, discipline, and determination. This life-changing book will ensure that you get more of your important tasks done - today!

Excellent material to listen

I enjoyed listening to these audio. I appreciate writer for being clear in explaining each point along with benefits/output. Each task explained very well and exercise at the end of each chapter gives you sense of output that one should be taking.
PDF material on creating table/ planner would have added cherry.

The narration left a lot to be desired

The book may have been good but the narration was horrible. He hesitated at the wrong spots, and almost felt as if he were emulating William Shatner.

Info is good but...

The info in the book was very good and I found it very helpful. Only thing I didn't like is the narrator's voice was annoying.

Beneficial to work ethic

This book is well written for motivation. Btian Tracy gives many methods to help oneself overcome procrastination. I appreciate the salami and swiss cheese method. I also like how he presents question as to what is holding you back and such that makes people think about what they want and why they want it. I am thankful that I read this book.

Useful with some caveats

The book provides common sense and detailed useful advice on time management.
Psychological considerations are mostly flawed.
Relations with colleagues are undervalued.
There are some contradictions.
It is not true that anyone can learn anything.
Sometimes there is a salesman tone: the author sells his book as the definitive way to success and happiness.

Best book for success & procrastination

The book gives you tips and solutions to allow you to determine which tastks to do now and which you can delay or even not doing at all! It allows you to be a unsuccessful optimistic person who knows exactly how to do things right! It highlights the importance of planning your day, week, month, year, and even years ahead with your life goals.
Listening to the book author himself reading his own book, is something really different!! Out of this world!

Great content - Not the most engaging narration.

Brian Tracy is fantastic. This book is great for those out there like myself that would like to be more productive. I believe I already manage my time fairly well but Tracy gives you more insight into the best ways to get more done.

In writing this review, I am 'eating a frog' - Well, maybe a newt. But either way, I recognize my frogs from my tadpoles and my tadpoles from my newts much more clearly now and prioritize more effectively than prior to listening.

The narration is not to everybody's taste. I found Tracy's voice very, very dull unfortunately and I really did not enjoy the tone in which the book was delivered. There is little motivation in the delivery but huge amount in the content.

All in all a 3/5

short and snappy

Exactly how I wanted this book to be. Short enough in each chapter to keep me engaged in its methodology and interesting enough with its narration to not make me skip.
The narrator has these weird pauses to his sentences though, which did annoy me a little haha But, overall I really enjoyed the theory behind it.

The Best Productivity Management Book that I read

For some reason, I was recommended this book as a self-help/motivational book.

Glad that I got it tho.

I have read a few such books but have found this the best to date - why? I am not really sure - maybe it just connected with me.

Lots of tips on how to improve productivity.

How to prioritise.

I would recommend to anyone.

Just do the basics!

We all want a life we love and none of us want to do the things we don't really like. I've spent years and ££££ trying to build a life where I only need to do things I want to do. I've done all the analysis and self improvement, I've tried to change this and adjusted that, I've even tried to love the tasks I don't want to do but life isn't really like that. All of us have to do some things we don't really want to do.

I first read Brian Tracy about 30 years ago but his advice does not go out of date. If you want your best life you will have to do some things that you don't love doing. Eat That Frog! is a very straightforward, uncomplicated and practical guide to getting those things done and moving on.

A brilliant little book (less than three hours long) full of timeless, life changing principles that I should have paid more attention to over the years.

Don't waste your time trying to avoid the frogs, just eat them and get on....
