Publisher's Summary

Their existence was a secret the government stumbled upon. In exchange for continued autonomy, the paranormals entered an alliance with the government. Now they are A.L.F.A.: Alpha League Federal Agency, sworn to protect and serve humanity.

Brilliant scientist Melinda Caster has discovered a new strain of the Zika virus that stimulates synaptic growth in embryos, causing neuron development beyond normal human levels. Way beyond, like ESP-levels of cognitive abilities. When the lab is broken into, Melinda realizes that someone has been keeping tabs on her research and wants it for themselves. A happy accident destroys critical data before it can fall into the wrong hands, but unfortunately that makes Melinda and her perfect memory a target.

A.L.F.A sends in jaguar-shifter Agent Parish Hamel to discover who is after the virus and why. The beautiful scientist acts like catnip to his senses and throws his mating instincts into overdrive. And then she disappears along with the only sample of the virus.... Now Parish must canvas the darkest areas of the supernatural underground to rescue Melinda, and what he discovers is beyond a paranormal's worst nightmare.

Waste of time

How can a woman author write such a stupid woman? Hamel spends most of the book saving Melinda from herself because she is that stupid.

He comes to help her and she insults him. He comes to rescue her she thinks he’s the bad guy. He tries to rescue her from a demon realm she believes the lie instead of his actions. I would’ve left her dumb ass there for being that stupid.

Argh I hate stupid women. This was a total waste of time by everyone, from author to narrators.

WOW

Very different, good, steamy , weird in some but so totally different kind of book. It's hard to explain. You just have to read it. Great characters, great narrators. The reason for the 4 stars is because it ended too soon after the conflict or angst part of the story. I hate when authors do that.

Good story!

This book was well written and preformed. The storyline is is fast moving but pretty complex. I think this is best enjoyed when you have the time to pay attention to the details that the author has created for us to enjoy . The characters are well developed and likeable. I look forward to reading the next book.

no food or drink in the lab

respected scientist but has open beverages in lab? can't make that logical leap. The fantasy is all fine, but make a scientist a scientist.

Storyline Issues for Me

I am very disappointed in the way the author made the heroine seem like a stiff board who could not believe the things that she actually saw. In my opinion the “h” could have been more flexible and the story would have been just fine. She was made to look pretty dumb , narcissistic, and closed to other ideas. No I don’t believe growing up in a religious environment would do that to her. She got out young, went to college and traveled the world, so I’m not buying it.

Fun exciting paranormal shifter story

Another fun engaging title. This was a refreshing and different take on shifters. Without going into it too much... It was nice to have hints of magic and other "monsters" included

AWESOME FEMALE PROTAGONIST

This book holds two different perspectives: the strong-minded female scientist; and the federal agent male. This has a romance in it that is really cute and makes you wish you were them. I definitely recommend this book, but, again if you don't like the blurb then don't expect to like the novel. I Loved this book though!
