Story
It is just before the outbreak of World War I, and Britain must enlist the aid of Russia. Czar Nicholas' nephew is to visit London for secret naval talks with Lord Walden, who has lived in Russia and has a Russian wife, Lydia. Story
Triple is the story of the most successful espionage coup - and best-kept secret - of this century. This taut espionage thriller comes from master of the genre, Ken Follett. It is 1968. Israeli intelligence has learned that Egypt, with Soviet help, will develop atomic bombs within months - an untimely end for the young nation unless a source of uranium for Israeli bombs can be had in complete secrecy. Impossible, of course, unless someone as improbable as the plan can be found to steal it.

Publisher's Summary
A special edition of Eye of the Needle by Ken Follett reissued with a bright retro design to celebrate Pan’s 70th anniversary.
It is 1944 and weeks before D-day. The Allies are disguising their invasion plans with a phony armada of ships and planes. Their plan would be ruined if an enemy agent found out...and then The Needle - Hitler’s prize undercover agent, a cold and professional killer - does just that. Hunted by MI5, he leads a murderous trail across Britain to a waiting U-boat. But he hasn't planned for a storm-battered island and the remarkable young woman who lives there.
Eye of the Needle, Ken Follett's breakthrough international best seller, is a heart-racing, exciting tale about the fate of the war resting in the hands of a master spy, his opponent and a brave woman.

Brilliant
I’ve been a regular user of audiobooks for a long time now and this is the best of its type so far. The story is full of intrigue throughout. One minute almost poetic, the next shocking. It really was difficult to pause!
The narrator is one of the best and the writer addictively brilliant. Here’s to the next Follett.

A gripping story
I love Ken Follett’s books and this was no exception.
It took a while to get going, but once into it, I could not stop listening.
My only criticism is that some on the location descriptions were too long.
Recommended for anyone who likes a spy thriller.

Hang on to your seat!
This was brilliant - the plot, the characters, the narration, the pace - everything. It was so exciting and tense, and thrilling and engaging - I can't speak highly enough! And I'm not an easy customer as I'm forever exchanging books that either don't grab me at the beginning or start irritating me towards the end. This one is 10/10.
