There is newer/better research out there...
The objection I have to this book is that the author is not a fasting or obesity researcher, and she seems to be heavily pushing some ideas that are about her own approach to things. She says again and again that she's researched things, but is leaving out the most current research. For example, she prefers one huge meal at night and likes snacking and a 'delay don't deny' approach that could lead to binging and also spreads the impression that you can have snacks and sugar and unhealthy foods and everything will be fine, when modern research is proving that is not the case, and it is the type of food you eat that makes you fat, not just when you eat or how much.
There's lots of research now showing that eating sugary foods ups insulin levels and leads to insulin resistance, so if you're eating one big bomb of a meal per day and still eating sugary foods, your metabolism will be out of whack and you may well need to 'deny' certain foods most of the time if you want to be healthy and avoid insulin resistance and diabetes.
So she's sprinkling a little reserach in, but ignoring research that doesn't support her idea of 'delay, don't deny.' You do have to deny (most of the time) things that are well proven to cause negative metabolic changes and are empty junk not supporting the body's nutritional needs. If you're eating them, you're not eating things that are good for you and that will help you lose weight and maintain that loss.
She on the one hand says one must 'clean fast' on only water during a fast and not even allowing a spot of cream in coffee, yet research has shown that that won't affect anything. Then she turns around and says that you can have that ice cream and cookies 'later' when the reality is those will deeply impact your insulin levels and health as empty calories, while a dollop of cream in your coffee on a fast won't affect anything..
Intermittent fasting can be useful, but the way you eat and what you eat is critcially important to maintaining your health.
If you want to read a book that is based on modern research (by legitimate researchers), then get 'The Obesity Code' by Dr. Fung. He's also written books about fasting that are better and based on science rather than the idea that you can gorge yourself once a day and eat sugar and empty snacks and everything will be fine. It won't.

How to access PDF
I haven’t listened to the book yet, but I was able to find out how to access the PDF by talking to a rep via chat.
In the audio player window in the app, click the three buttons in the top right and click on the accompanying PDF button.
In desktop, go to audible.com/lib and on the right hand side of the title, it will say Listen Now, View PDF, and Download. Click view PDF and it will prompt a download.
Hope this helps others!

Where is the PDF?
The author refers to the PDF in the book quite a few times, and I would benefit from seeing the information in addition to hearing it. It is impossible to remembers the details of the program on a day to day basis without seeing it written out. Is there any way to get the PDF, I am not the only reader requesting this.

Good information, but so repetitive
I was doing IF almost by accident so I bought this book to understand the science behind it. The important info was good, and the author laid it out in a way that was very easy to understand. What I found annoying is that the book ends up being overly repetitive. It was made clear over and over again that a clean fast consists of water, black coffee and tea with no flavor. I don't know why we were still talking about that 8 hours into the book.

Informative and Inspiring!
I had this book on pre-order for awhile, awaiting it's release, and it did not disappoint! Gin Stephens has such a conversational writing style and distills down a vast amount of research into this book, along with years of personal experience, plus very practical and helpful guidelines - appropriate for those just reading about intermittent fasting for the very first time as well as long time experienced fasters! So easy to read/listen to, yet definitely not lacking in depth!

If I could recommend 1 book to help change your life, this is it.
I have listened to this twice and about to listen again. Using Goldilocks as an analogy, this book is just right. I had listened to other books, watched countless videos on YouTube about intermittent Fasting (IF), autophagy and tried various diets over the years. I had even tried IF briefly before. But when I listened to this book, the penny dropped as everything suddenly made sense, I tried IF again and I haven’t looked back and honestly don’t think I ever will, the guidance is so simple. I wanted to lose weight, but the health improvements have been the biggest game changer for me and some weight loss is an added bonus.
Note — I don’t give reviews often.

Very Helpful
I got into fasting with the help of Gins first book, which also got me into Audible,as I couldn’t get the hard copy quick enough! Both of these have been fantastic in my life. I am enjoying fasting and seeing results that I never did from regular dieting. I feel it was the right time in my life too. ( big 50 this year). This book was like a recap and reminder of all I learnt in the first book. Plus I have listened to a few of her recommendations as well.

I was really looking forward to this book as there had been a lot of hype around its arrival. I enjoyed it but felt there wasn’t really much I didn’t already know from Delay Dont Deny. Gin is a great narrator though so I’m sure lots of people would have enjoyed but I found myself skipping through chapters often.

A must read!! Absolutely brilliant!
To provide my review with some context, I had just started intermittent fasting, only five days in, when I listened to this book by Gin Stephens.
I first started my IF journey with the book by Jason Fung called The Obesity Code. Upon finishing The Obesity Code (which I also highly recommend) I felt saturated with new knowledge and deep understanding of the science and benefits of IF however, it did leave me thirsty for more. I felt I needed more understanding of the ‘how’ of IF.
I went in search through Audible for other IF books. I always look to ratings and reviews before I make my choice. There weren’t too many reviews available for this book on Audible at the time, so I did a wider google search and realised that Fast. Feast. Repeat actually came highly recommended (thousands of reviews) from previous readers… and boy, they weren’t wrong!
If you are wanting to learn more about intermittent fasting, I would strongly recommend first reading The Obesity Code by Jason Fung, then straight away, follow it up with Fast, Feast, Repeat by Gin Stephens.
These two books have provided me with literally everything I need to know about IF. I do not have one single unanswered question now. Knowledge is power! I feel strong and sure footed as I begin my IF journey.
Fast. Feast. Repeat is excellently narrated by the author and I would highly recommend it as an IF bible for anyone wanting to learn about this subject.

Great book
Love this book and the useful layout of chapters and the references within to go to specific chapters for more info. Rather than duplicate info.
Getting used to the accent was quick too. Makes me smile listening to it now.
Gin has done a great job. I also downloaded a PDF version of the book to look at tables etc. also useful. Though she does have a useful handout included with audible - I just wanted to search the book for specific topics.
Have listened and re listened to the book and now dive in and out of chapters for reference and refresh while on my IF journey. Hearing things I didn’t hear when at the first stage of my journey. 👍🏻 super happy to have found her (recommendation via a Facebook fasting group). Much easier to listen to than Jason Fung’s book- but his is also good in a different way to a different depth. It also helps put Michael Mosley’s books into perspective too. Acknowledging F800 is an approach that I may blend into my maintenance plan (for my specific body needs), but for weight loss and health benefits- I’ll do Gin’s IF approach - Delay don’t Deny.

The Most Important Weight Loss Book Ever Written
This book will overhaul mainstream clinical approaches to weight loss world wide. Where diets don't work, this does. Thank you Gin Stephens...this is the closest thing to a solution to the ever increasing problem of obesity that has ever been written.
