One hell of a book

It was just amazing. As a history buff I checked the historical accuracy but it was on bull's eye. But let me tell you that this was written in 1950's - era without the Google. So hats-off to Kalki sir on that aspect. Amit Bhargav's narration was an icing on the cake. Strongly recommend. One of the best book I have listened in Audible. Waiting for the other two parts now.

Legendary Cholas

In my attempt to understand the lives and times of southern India, I learnt of this masterpiece penned by Kalki. Excited to find Volume 1 on audible! Those searching for this title must be familiar with Kalki's quality, so I will just comment on the narration. Amit has done a remarkable job! To my (admittedly untrained) ear, his diction and pronunciation was fantastic and really brought depth to this audio version. Did full justice to the book and the story. If you are on the fence about this one, go for it.

Wonderful

The narrator and his voice modulation and story telling is amazing as the translation of Pavithra.

highly recommended

As I'm still learning Tamil, this audiobook enabled me to experience Ponniyin Selvan in a way that I previously couldn't. The translation and narration were on point and really enjoyable. I'm so glad this exists on Audible. Looking forward to the other parts of this series.

it's a masterpiece of another level
came here after Amish Tripathi talked about it in a podcast with ishkaran Singh bhandari. it's like a GoT like story minus the incest and historically vibrant.

the story is interesting

there are parts in the audio that are not in continuity. sentences have been cut out. The narrator is good, but his English pronunciation is flawed at times. however, if you wish to apprise yourself of the correct pronunciation of Tamil words, this audiobook would be ideal. I enjoyed the narrator's modulation and narration, in general.

This was a good read.
