Good Additional Stories for Sherlock Enthusiasts

If you’re a fan of Sherlock Holmes and wish there were more stories, here you go...about 20 of them. These are radio plays, each a half hour. They should be 45 minutes because they spend about 28 minutes setting the story up, then Holmes very abruptly solves it...but, for someone jonesing for more Holmes stories, these will do fine.

true to the original

It harkened back to the Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce Sherlock Holmes radio plays with one improvement, Watson isn't a bumpling idiot. He is certainly not the genius Holmes is but he is competent, as a retired Army Surgeon should be.

Great short stories and performance

This was a great set of short stories. Most of them are just 20 minutes long and hold true to the original Conan Doyle style. The cast is very good. I did find that the person doing Sherlock spoke too quickly so I slowed the speed to ×80 and that worked just fine.

Sherlock meets Vaudeville, badly

I used a credit on this.. a whole valuable credit :((

The stories are really quite good, however the slapstick accents, the overacted minor characters, and the screeching violin churning out Scheherazade are too much and reduce this product to the amateur ranks. Not to mention the undergraduate audience cheering like stripshow birthday boys.
If you enjoy Sherlockian works, beware. This one is tolerable as long as you have your finger on the ff button.

stories are good. only one problem.

I enjoyed the stories. I have a big problem with every time Watson was mentioned it was always John H Watson. Sometimes Dr Watson's name was put together so weirdly that it took me a bit to realize who they meant. Narrations were.good for most all of them. There were a couple that you could not tell the difference between the characters. Some stories seem to be the same ones that have already been recorded. But there was a different ending. Still over all enjoyed the book

Sherlock with an accent!!

Very enjoyable tales, and if not for the difficulty in overcoming the less-than-English accents, I’d have scored them higher.

A good listen

I enjoyed these stories of our Victorian sloothes, well written and read for a foreign production.
