  • Summary

  • Work is often treated as an activity that enables happiness on holidays or weekends. But most of us spend a large portion of our lives working – to live a happy life we need to be happy at work, not just outside of it. Changing your habits to prioritise happiness at work is the key. Dr Tim Sharp introduces you to 10 simple habits you can adopt in your own work life.

Dr Tim Sharp is a clinical and consulting psychologist with three degrees in psychology and a distinguished career over several decades. He’s Australia’s very own 'Dr Happy' and the founder of The Happiness Institute.

Common Sense

It's a good audible... touchè, that's not available in actual print. However, I started common sense, because it's the actual obvious things that no one pays attention to. I guess some people need to be told... but overall a good page turner during the commute.

"work is part of life and it can be fun!"

It challenges your current situation for improvement in a kind way. Dr. Sharp gives many handy tips for each habit that anyone can do. I also like to hear the input from all the people at the end of each habit. They give additional ideas while enabling concrete examples of the feasibility of the implementation of happiness at work.

Brilliant

Many of the lessons are relevant to corporate / career ladder employees and I'm a solo entrepreneur. Even so, every single chapter / theme in this podcast was insightful, brilliantly laid out, stunningly articulated and positive. I have learned so much, and have also cemented my existing knowledge with the inspirational and relevant examples given. Thank you so much Dr Happy!
