Mark Twain once observed, "A lie can get halfway around the world before the truth can even get its boots on." His observation rings true: urban legends, conspiracy theories, and bogus public-health scares circulate effortlessly. Meanwhile, people with important ideas (business people, teachers, politicians, journalists, and others) struggle to make their ideas "stick". In this indispensable guide, we discover that sticky messages of all kinds draw their power from the same six traits.

Even the smartest among us can feel inept as we fail to figure out which light switch or oven burner to turn on, or whether to push, pull, or slide a door. The fault, argues this ingenious - even liberating - audiobook, lies not in ourselves, but in product design that ignores the needs of users and the principles of cognitive psychology. The Design of Everyday Things shows that good, usable design is possible. The rules are simple: make things visible, exploit natural relationships that couple function and control, and make intelligent use of constraints.

Publisher's Summary
Random House presents the unabridged downloadable audiobook edition of Hacking Growth, written and read by Morgan Brown and Sean Ellis.
Growth is now the first thing that investors, shareholders and market analysts look for in assessing and valuing companies.
Hacking Growth is a highly accessible, practical, method for growth that involves cross-functional teams and continuous testing and iteration. Hacking Growth does for market-share growth what The Lean Startup does for product development and Business Model Generation does for strategy. Hacking Growth focuses on customers - how to attain them, retain them, engage them and monetize them - rather than product.
Written by the method's pioneers, this book is a comprehensive toolkit or "bible" that any company in any industry can use to implement their own Growth Hacking strategy, from how to set up and run growth teams to how to identify and test growth levers and how to evaluate and act on the results. It is designed for any company or leader looking to break out of the ruts of traditional marketing and become more collaborative and less wasteful and achieve more consistent, replicable and data-driven results.
Critic Reviews
"A must-read for anyone in business. " (James Currier, managing partner, NFX Guild)

Very good book, but maybe not for audio
I really liked the content in the book, but I'm not sure it lends that well to the audio performance. It felt like a substantial part of the book was the reading of lists in a monotonic voice, so maybe better with the written book instead.

damn good book. simple, to the point, no fluff.
the only question that I'm left asking myself is why some companies that experiment like hell don't grow while others that don't have a growth team do. i guess that are thousands of reasons why, but it would've been nice to explore some examples.

Don't expect miracles
Narrator was fine. The book itself gives a good overview of the growth hacking strategy and if you've never heard of agile, you might be impressed by the simplicity of the 'growth hacking' method.
This book can give you few good experiment ideas but don't expect it to be any book of revelation.
