Publisher's Summary

A few days after an ordinary Valentine's Day, Cindy Beall's life changed forever. She listened with disbelief as her husband, Chris, a respected pastor, confessed to pornography addiction, numerous affairs, and the startling news that a woman was pregnant with his child. With raw honesty and intimate knowledge of pain and of God's power to resurrect something new out of the debris of betrayal, Cindy reveals how to:

  • Seek guidance, counseling, and prayer support when deceptions surface
  • Help the family heal from the grief and humiliation
  • Rebuild trust after porn, sex, and other addictions
  • Undermine a relationship
  • Protect a marriage from lies and unfaithfulness
  • Rely on God to pursue forgiveness and move forward in new promises

Cindy's compassion and grasp of God's word and the Bealls' remarkable story will help wives and husbands trust God with their broken hearts and follow his leading, hope, and redemption.

my story too!!

This is my marriage now. I pray for redemption in him and as well in me for our marriage to be restored. The problem is he is not a willing participate at this time. I pray he is convicted by God in his heart to have the willingness and love to do so. This book has also opened up my eyes to my shortcomings in our marriage as well. Thank you for sharing your story!! Pray for is?!

It takes three to make a marriage wonderful

It takes two committed partners with Gods help to make a masterpiece out of a mess. BUT if only one is willing to do whatever it takes God can still make that wounded heart whole again.
That is one of many things I learned from this book. Healing takes time

Trusting God Never Fails

So many truth bombs sprinkled over the course of this book. I've gained so many insights that have touched me to the core.

Through continued trust in God, Cindy Beall triumphed over Satan's attack on her marriage.

I am only two months post disclosure day, yet hopeful that God will do what He says He will do.

God put this book in my path now put it in yours

When I first started listening to this audio book I thought to myself “this isn’t the right book, this for the one I betrayed” the more I listened the more I could understand her perspective and what feelings and emotions my actions have caused. Then I gained more insight about myself and that I do need help. This book did just that.
No mater if your the betrayer, betrayed, male or female. Whether you are in the beginning, middle or end of this storm.
This book can help. If you want a fighting chance to save your marriage, read this book.

Helpful beyond words...

When you are struggling in your life, it is so hard to look around and feel so alone. To read (listen) to this book, and feel the raw
pain and how someone dealt with it, has been so needed and so helpful. Also, as crazy at it sounds, sometimes it feels good to hear "you are not a fool if you choose to stay". This whole book is amazing! I am beyond thankful for this book being put together.

Condescending

I did not like the narrator and the writing sounded like the author though she was better than others. Saying that she will not lose sleep over someone's decision to leave a situation is not helpful. Will be returning this book ASAP!

What a book! Just what I needed.

So loved this book though I cried and cried feeling the pain and then joy in finding hope again for myself and my own marriage. I could relate to the brokenness and then finding wholeness in God again. Thank you!

A True Blessing

Cindy's story is my story and it brought me so much comfort to know what I am feeling, thinking and struggling with is normal and that I am not alone. This book should be mandatory for all church leaders to read to get a true understanding of an affair and an addiction and how to approach the couple in love and not judgement.

Way too religious

While the book covers the topic of forgiveness - there are way too many religious references. There are time when it feels like listening to religious fanatic speaking about satan and judgemental god. While I do commend Cindy for opening up and working through pain - I feel that the subject of forgiveness could be written in a better way.
