Overrated

I may simply not be suited to Martin Amis' writing but I found the stories to be slow, minimally engaging and in some cases not very creative. So, bottom line, I didn't much care for this collection of short stories.

Amis Smooths Seas, Phrases, Stories

A lovely collection, wonderfully performed and packaged. The credit goes to Amis, but the audio -- featuring Dame Judi Dench, among others -- is sumptuous and deluxe.
