Excellent and full of practical tips
This is a Great Courses class, and like most of their courses, it is very good. It is loaded with great tips that are easy to employ and backed up by science. Unlike some, you can just listen; there are no course materials or images for you to view. Some of the exercises cannot be completed while driving. However I just practised those at home. The instructor's tip include breathing exercises as well. A summary: energy is composed of the ability to pay attention plus awareness. You need to strengthen these as well as control your environment in order to have more energy. Taking care of yourself is only part of what you need to do.

Worst great course for me
Patronizing style with a number of claims thrown in it made it hard to completely listen to it. Nearly Nothing resonated. Only the importance of sleep.
Claims get anecdotal reference. Acupuncture and footreflex get serious treatment.
I blindly bougth great courses with intersting titles. No more. This was a waste of a credit and my time.

As someone who is constantly practicing calm, I can say this book provides a lot more than I expected. The author makes mindfulness make sense.

Worthwhile content, but too much Mindfulness ex
I'm grateful for the information presented, but too much time was devoted to Mindfulness / yoga exercises. Also did not like being spoken to like I am a child.

great course
full of practical advice spanning multiple disciplines. this course draws on many well established scientific studies to re-inforce to the mainstream listener what many spiritual seekers have experienced. A great listen for the more or less knowledgeable in the field of mind body

Excellent
The only thing that could make this better would be if the practical experiential practices were also included at the end of the audio book.

Misleading it a course on meditation
What disappointed you about How to Boost Your Physical and Mental Energy?
I was expecting more science and facts but there is awful lot of on meditation and Buddhist philosophy that is not very helpful. Quite a lot of common sense too though. Also lots of quoting surveys and studies but with no context its not helpful. Nothing veer insightful that would make it a great course.
Would you ever listen to anything by The Great Courses again?
Yes ..this one just wasn't whjat i was looking for
Any additional comments?
Should be relabeled to make it clear that there is a lot about Buddhist philosophy and mediation which wasn't what i was looking for the this course.

The best book on ever!!!
I love this book because Kimberlee is the most sincere and knowledgeable consultant I have heard. She teaches really simple strategies to boost mental health and physical health and are highly effective to inspire you with quotes and scientific research. Kimberlee has a voice of a messiah and choice of words that motivate and personalises the heart felt advice so that the listener feels cared. Kimberlee is like a friend I always wished for in life. I recommend this book to everyone who have let it go in life and I assure you that this is The book to boost your mood with love and goodwill. Audible is worth it because of their option to exchange book and authors like Kimberlee.

Really good practical advice
If you could sum up How to Boost Your Physical and Mental Energy in three words, what would they be?
Relaxing, useful, encouraging
Have you listened to any of Kimberlee Bethany Bonura’s other performances? How does this one compare?
I have listening to another course by Bethany and it was also good, but this one I liked better because it is shorter and feels like she gets to the main points faster.
