Journalist Charlene White gains unprecedented access to some of Britain’s oldest and most famous companies and institutions to find out what makes them successful. In each episode we will meet the people behind this success; senior management and staff, past and present, this series gets under the skin of these world famous organisations.

We learn how they have each employed distinct cultures, systems and techniques in order to stand the test of time. We also hear about the companies’ biggest failures throughout their history and what they learnt.

Disappointing

Absolute and utter waste of time.

Journalist Charlene White and Writer of this series Lisa Mainwaring, have shown no integrity towards the content; misleading "click bait title" and no value for fellow listeners time.

When the title says " how to outperform ", and the series is about royal elite institutions of Britain which takes upto 40,000 pounds a year, and how minuscule of a change they contribute to the world. I feel betrayed.

I learnt nothing from "how to outperform" except how these brands have million pound funding and they make little changes to stay afloat!?

Thought provoking

I listened to all of them and liked the way the author has weaved the stories together. The coach - Paul - is utterly brilliant. So insightful. My favourite episodes are: Eton College (it's a different world); listening to actress Juliet Stevenson in the RADA episode talking about the late Alan Rickman and Michael Palin in the Royal Geographical Society episode. If you want a masterclass on teamwork listen to the The British Rowing episode . I have picked up some wisdom in some form from every episode. Well done!

Very interesting

'How to Outperform' takes us into 6 different institutions where excellence, intelligence and the drive to be better are apparent. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and the many speakers throughout; ranging from cutthroat olympic rowing teams to actors, doctors and scientist. Each had a lesson to be learned and I will be applying these methods to my own life.

Good read

Ep1, Ep2 & Ep4 are great, Ep6 is a political, more a climate change advertisement and no real take away about organisation performance, what make them different and does not seem to connect to the common man / woman.
