Story
Deep in the African rain forest, near the legendary ruins of the Lost City of Zinj, an expedition of eight American geologists are mysteriously and brutally killed in a matter of minutes. Ten thousand miles away, Karen Ross, the Congo Project Supervisor, watches a gruesome video transmission of the aftermath: a camp destroyed, tents crushed and torn, equipment scattered in the mud alongside dead bodies - all motionless except for one moving image - a grainy, dark, man-shaped blur.

Story

Praise for Jurassic Park
“Wonderful... powerful.” - The Washington Post Book World
“Frighteningly real...compelling... It’ll keep you riveted.” - The Detroit News
“Full of suspense.” - The New York Times Book Review
Editors Select, May 2015 - Years ago, as I was just starting to explore the genre of sci-fi, my best friend (a huge Crichton fan) urged me to read Jurassic Park - the basis, of course, for the blockbuster film franchise. I'm not too ashamed to admit that the movie terrified me as a kid, but in many ways, the novel is even more frightening, as it relies more heavily on the science that makes Jurassic Park possible - and very unstable - adding an unsettling dose of reality to this cautionary tale. I'm so excited to relive this book in audio as it’s released unabridged for the very first time with the incredible Scott Brick narrating - providing the perfect measured, authoritative voice for such a science-heavy listen. And with Jurassic World coming this summer, there's simply no better time to dive in to this classic. - Sam, Audible Editor
Critic Reviews
"Scott Brick brings a chilling calm to the complex story with his deep, even tone and clear enunciation.... He does a particularly fine portrayal of John Hammond, the creator of the controversial park, giving the character a raspy edge that suits the dark agenda beneath his grandfatherly facade." Better than the movie!
I'm sure everyone has watched the film and enjoyed the amazing effects, story and sound.
But this book adds the science and biology element to that story in detail, but not in a nerdy way, which makes you understand a lot of the scenarios from the film better.
Honestly, watch the film and then read the book. The experience will be enhanced.

Loved it
Thoroughly entertaining. Being a huge fan of the movie doesn’t really matter as the book just hooks you in. On a side note, ending is different from the movie.

An ever fresh tale of power and caution!
having read the novel 8-9 times, I was really looking forward to the audiobook.
What I really loved was the brilliant voice modulation and tempo which altered perfectly as the story went along. it is a timeless classic that brought dinosaur closer to the entire world.
Would've loved if the Prologue and the epilogue had been read as in the book. A brilliant effort however!

Magnificent
Only halfway through the book but the performance is impeccable. The story is already a classic but the narrator's work takes it up a notch. Simply magnificent.
