An intriguing and entertaining listen.
I found myself entertained by this book. The performance by the narrator was stellar. However, I felt that the main character (Sophie), was a bit reckless, overpowered, and in many ways, similar to Harry Potter. The most interesting character for me, by far, was Biana. Overall, I'd rate it 4 stars. It was a good listen.

wonderful read
I loved the story. I liked the part when Sophie's neighbour turned out to be an elf. fitz, Sophie,Alden and dex were my favourite characters.

The connection
I liked it because of simple stories weaved with boring tidbits to make it interesting. Plus the magic was fun.
One star was reduced because it was too emotional for me to view it from Steena's point of view.
I liked the part where Sophie turned out to have more than one power and was an inflictor & telepath.
Look forward to the next book.
