MEDIOCRE STUFF

O come on, another bad story. Can't you think of something more creative? Horror is not just about shrieks, strange sounding men and women (or 'ghosts' if you reckon that as the correct expression), and frightened characters. There is a lot more to this genre. Unfortunately, some of the contemporary writers can't think beyond the cliche. Mishka Singh Shekhawat did an acceptable job with 'Bhangarh' but her subsequent stories have disappointed. How does the title 'Kurseong' justify the theme of this story? Only because it is set in Kurseong? That's a poor reason for this story to have that title. In the beginning of the story, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, the narrator, mentions dejavu. Why? What has dejavu got to do with this story? There is no element or plot twist in the story that justifies dejavu or other related ideas. Please don't deliver such mediocre stuff to the audience. It's a humble request that rather stupid stuff such as this one may not be produced. As regards performances, they are good ... everyone performed well. Amitabh Bachchan's voice, needless to say, sounds as powerful and absorbing as ever. But these factors cannot make up for a really bad story.
