a must read book to understand bharats history. author has a fresh perspective and doesn't present a right or left view but let's reader to visualise the transformation over centuries.

This is a brief review of the civilizations and their geography. although some geological errors exist (example aravallis have the oldest rocks in the world which isn't true because Isua in Greenland has them) but overall the book is informative

History and geography were never my favourite subjects in school, yet over the years, I have come to realise their criticality in our lives. This book perfectly marries the two subjects and gives us a lowdown like never before.
Our nation's history has shaped it's geography. The history includes it's ancient civilizations, rulers, flora, fauna and the climactic conditions as well. Over centuries, how these aspects affected our boundaries and lives is very interesting to read about.
A must read by every Indian-at-heart irrespective of the geography they live in.
