About this listen
HBO's Emmy-winning Last Week Tonight presents the story of a Very Special boy bunny who falls in love with another boy bunny.
Meet Marlon Bundo, a lonely bunny who lives with his Grampa—the vice president of the United States. But on this Very Special Day, Marlon's life is about to change forever...
With a message of tolerance and advocacy, this charming children's book explores issues of same sex marriage and democracy. Beautifully performed by an all-star cast, featuring Jim Parsons, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jeff Garlin, Ellie Kemper, John Lithgow, Jack McBrayer, and RuPaul, this sweet and funny story is dedicated to every bunny who has ever felt different.
About the author: Marlon Bundo is a very fun bunny who recently relocated to Washington, DC, from his home in Indiana. He enjoys hopping through the garden, eating all his vegetables, and hula-hooping.

Living in India, it was not possible to obtain a copy without going through convoluted customs rules and inflated pricing (42% customs tax, ya know!) But with Christmas approaching and me having plenty of Audible credits remaining, I decided to burn one credit for the 7-minute long narration. Boy did I underestimate what they had created. The story is short, to the point and very instructive. The language may be a little simplistic (it's a children's book after all) and the repetition of characters a bit tedious (again, it's a children's book) but it's just enough to hold a child's attention. This is important because the story is actually meant for kids, and focuses on actually teaching them something important rather than taking any unnecesary potshots at Pence (okay, maybe one or two).
So what now ? Importing the print copy at the inflated price, that's what! Because while I may not be married and may not be planning on having kids for qutie some time, I'm absolutely going to make quite a few adults read it. I just hope that - given how the Pence family has come out with a second Bundo book - Oliver and Twiss take "our" Bundo for another merry hop through the boring corridoors of power!
