Starting to get repetitive
For the most part, it is just a repetition of the previous books. Lark is perfect ( you know how amazing he is because people keep pointing it out), and doesn’t have any character development, even though he has a chance at a second life it doesn’t feel like it, it just feels like an awkward insertion, most character interactions feel empty with little to no development between characters that really go beyond being told that they care about each other. Lark isn’t a person, he’s a caricature, just a combination of exaggerated perfections to create the “perfect” person. This is mostly just a repeat of the previous books with substituted characters.

Finally!
Love this series and the way the MC uses his brain to solve problems. Blackie is absolutely one of the best characters ever, love him! I do hope his powers grow and he can create an “Endless Empire”! I can’t wait for the next book and absolutely can’t wait for the audiobook publisher pack!

I loved every second of it
Too short! I want more! hahahaha, it's definitely one of the top OPMC stories out there. I love the world building, smart MC, lots of characters, city building, and clever takes on items/herbs/stuff in the world.
cons: too short.
PS: is there a map for this world/continent? I would love to have that to supplement the experience.

Very "Beginning After the End" -like
Only complaints are that it takes to long to get the next audiobook and they are too short...can listen to two books in a single day if you try.
That complaint out of the way...this series is epic. The pure fact that the OPMC isn't an idiot sets this series apart from most of the books in this category.
If you haven't tried these yet it's is a must. Top notch narration with a crazy story

Hate me if you want, but I like it
This is such a good uplifting story and I needed it. Sure character development is missing, the protagonist is always the smartest, strongest, and always wins, but damn it, sometimes I want a bowl of coco pebbles.

More of the same... fun story poorly written
In no way does the MC grow or change. No hint of a personality or desire. No indication that he has human emotions or thoughts.
The longer the story goes on the more it seems like the MC is somewhere between, willfully ignorant of how his actions and the way he talks to people make him NOT A GOOD PERSON... or a full out sociopath (which not innately a bad thing... just means he has zero capacity to understand others feelings).
Mind you... a story about a morally gray "hero" is very interesting, but we dont get that here. He is posited as the OP MC here to help and save the ppl, but actually acts in a way thats between anti-hero and soon to be heel turned villain.
I feel like this is an effort from the author to wink at the reader to insert some type of comedy by having the main character Lark Marcus under explain or just be creepy about everything as to confuse people he's talking to. However, this is a complete miss (even though it keeps happening) because he will immediately try to clean it up by giving a better explanation.
All other characters just think to themselves how AMAZING the MC is and how jealous they are of how AMAZING he is... - show dont tell
- OR -
All other characters have 90%+ of their dialogue simple disagreeing with anything the main character just said... "IMPOSSIBLE!!" is uttered by every new character we meet, and the majority of those characters only display this as personality. (unless in a couple chapters they fall into the other category)
MC is in business with terrible people (doesnt care)
He spends lives under him like they are nothing (even though the narrator cant tell us enough how much the MC "cares" about his subjects) - show dont tell.
He uses his strength to whatever end he sees fit (which in like 90% of flushed out stories means HES NOT A GOOD GUY)
***light spoiler***
- That business at the end with the elves literally makes him a tyrant taking advantage of an indigenous people with no remorse... and this is our "hero" of the story???
...much like the last two publishers packs (4 books) the author needs more reps
- too many repeated phrases or words
- little to no world building beyond the scene we are in getting us to the next "plot" point
- Show dont tell please... The narration and internal thoughts of side characters constantly assign meaning and intent behind things that the MC doesn't actually do, think, or intend...
... With all that said. If you are like me and would prefer an easy ride of a listen, no real tension or consequences. Nothing complicated or detailed to remember or imagine then I highly recommend "The Wizards Butler" by Nathan Lowell
... ... if you've spent that credit, then id recommend his space ferrying story line starting with "Quarter Share", there are like 5 or 6 of those...
...If after that, you are still looking for some easy listening then this series is good enough!
Or if like me you would rather finish a series (as long as its not bad) than start a new one... do it.

Annoying in parts but overall not bad.
Okay, first of all this isn't a five star book no matter how many reviews suggest it is. Anywhere between 3-4 stars is fair for the series when compared to other books in this genre.
The overall story is quite good as it goes and it's why it has kept my interest over it's flaws. While there are dialogue weaknesses throughout the series that will make you cringe it is mostly okay. Most of the characters are good, though it is kind of annoying the way they all fawn over the MC though the books and not enough people see him as a huge fraud yet. Heck, even his brother bought it in the last one despite going from being an incompetent swordsman with no magic talent to an expert swordsman and the most powerful mage in the kingdom inside a year. How no-one questions his keep pulling ancient unknown lore and power out of his behind is getting a bit of a joke at this point.
While I do for the most part like the MC the author is just trying to paint him as too perfect, while accidently just making him come over as an arrogant, self-centred tool a lot of the time. Heck in the second famine he could spread the way he saved his village to the whole kingdom, but does he? Books are littered with this type of thing.
Plot of the books so far has been fine. There are plot holes and times where the author has had characters do things, or events have happened merely to drag out the plot or make it more dramatic. Example. People escaping when a spell or arrow into a horse would have put paid to their escape. I thought the author was just a horse lover given no horses got harmed in the war it seemed, but apparently that isn't the case given the last book in these two.
Books are good overall so far, though I did have the most frustrations with these two out of the series if I'm honest, but that could easy be me nit-picking. Narration was very good and does helps somewhat gloss over the dialogue problems.

good premise but its hard to like
has great potential but I'm disappointed in how many abhorrent characters there are in this and how everyone acts like they are great, the main character doesn't have many struggles and acts like he is good but he is only slightly better than the others. also, keep introducing new bad guys to compare him to but they are often just left unresolved, maybe I'm just picky and untrusting but there seems to be way too high a review on this series.

Awesome
It plays a lot with different concepts that I have pondered many times myself. And I love how indomitable the main character is. Some people don't like that but I think its a breath of fresh air. I have often thought about how someone knowledgeable would be able to advance the society if they were sent back in time. And this series is exploring that concept in an epic adventure :D

Disappointing Ending
I enjoyed this pack but it left too many unanswered storylines and went off the rails a bit towards the end, almost as if written by a different author. If there was a Pack 4, I would still purchase it, hoping for the tying together of the unfinished areas of this pack & for the return of the quality of the previous books.
