While the first book gave a good idea into the semi-mystical world where the story is set in, its writing definitely seemed like an entry level. This book comes far ahead with its characters & story pace. Still there are a lot of places where the protagonists seem failing to be ahead of the game, where they could easily have been. The science plus mysticism is similar to previous book.

But definitely a very good fun story. Loved Monk more than Gray.
