Lovely
The book is deep and sensible. Some things I don’t agree but the philosophical reasoning is great and very deep. Many true facts are clearly evolved

Timeless wisdom
Written more than 2000years earlier,it has timeless wisdom. If one can follow even few of timeless wisdom contained in the book, one can lift quality of life much above the other human beings.

very wise & true
A great book read out in a good voice and the deep message coming from a genius, who was an emperor and sensitive to the importance of understanding and forgiveness and the value of the mind in personal evolution.I would never have been able to complete the book but this audio book made it so easy to listen and learn.

Enlightening
I started reading the book some weeks back and I must admit the audible version is so smooth and easy. finished it in 3 days. valuable lessons and perspectives. one must listen to it.

The Last Good Emperor
Marcus Aurelius, also called the Last Good Emperor, wrote this 1800 years ago. It is a keen and rare insight into how an Emperor ruled ancient Rome in a tumultuous time. Much of the writing is still relevant today, and it only shows how stubborn we are as a species. The flaws of humankind which existed back then, exist today too, and in much worse ways one might add. There are instances where I found it wondrous that a man in ancient world(even though he had more visibility due to being an Emperor compared to a pleb) was more enlightened than hyper-informed generations of today. Due to the very time he existed in the entire prose suffers from blind spots, and gets repititive. This is a good read/hearing if you're new to stoicism, or as a reminder how, when and why to keep yourselves on an even keel. You may also find it a repeat of ideas which exist in Buddhism, Bhagvad Gita.

Very profound but boring
I have not read any full-length book ever exclusively on Greek Philosophy. This one did serve its purpose. it introduced me to that great and very evolved thinking. Undoubtedly like many others I too found a strong similarity between the philosphy in Bhagwat Geeta and the Upnishads and this one. Going through the book was surely a fruitful journey. However it was too monotonous and robotic a narration which made the experience boring. I always feel should all philosophical expositions have always to bore you down? Well, this book surely does.
