Unintelligible
I loved the Rotherweird trilogy and was really excited for this - unfortunately it was a terrible terrible mess. Dune meets Harry Potter meets Avatar but not in a good way. Maybe I’m just too dim to get it.

what's going on?
Absolutely no idea what's going on in this book.
Is it a dream? Virtual? Magic?
No clue.
How are people popping up in the most unlikely places? How did they get there so fast? How are they communicating in a world without phones or radio? Never explained.
The narrator is very good even if the story makes no sense.

Brilliant brilliant!
Another amazing creation, wonderfully drawn characters in brilliant worlds. Achingly sad, bizarre and witty in equal measure. If you liked the Rotherweird series you will love this. If you haven’t read them then I urge you to try this one anyway, it’s brilliant!

Another great story by Andrew Caldicot.

Bravo Mr Caldecott
Where to start?
Typical of Andrew Caldecott's style and brilliantly so.
Where Rotherweird looks back in time, Momenticom fast forwards us into dystopian fantasy land.
Full of humour, sadness, heroes and wonderfully written characters .
Hooked from the out set, Caught out by the arrival of the ending.
So... we need the sequel.

Love love love this author’s work. More please, as soon as possible. If you enjoyed Andrew Caldecott’s Rotherweird series, you’ll enjoy this… also the narration was suberb, thank you John Hastings!

Brilliant!
This was my first venture into Andrew Caldecott’s work & I LOVED IT! I really got caught up with the story & characters but the ending came too soon, I need revenge! Please please can we have a sequel

An imaginative adventure story
I really liked this book. The story was engaging and the principal characters were likeable.
I did struggle to stay focused and so missed things and had to go back and listen again several times. My focus is not the fault of the author, but it felt like time and again pivotal moments happened in the course of a sentence. Also when it switched from one POV to another, it would have been good to have a little recap, as it was disorientating.
I enjoyed the description though and all the inventions and was sad when I realised that the story was over. Maybe there will be a sequel? I’d like to know what happens to the characters, but also more about the rest of the world; it seemed like only white people survived the apocalypse except for one black woman, which seems strange considering the diversity of the UK.
Overall though, would recommend!

I have absolutely no clue what is happening in this book but the narrator is brilliant!
