Enjoyable light classic detective story
I enjoyed this story. It's pretty light weight and not terribly hard to work out whodunit but for a bit of light relaxation it fits the bill nicely.

Impenetrable accents
Quite a decent plot of the traditional village variety. Interesting and holds a reasonable pace. As so often happens it is marred by the narration. He's good at maintaining distinct characters, and certainly regional accents can add colour and atmosphere, but in this case, the heavy country accents are overdone to the point of distortion, and occasionally completely impenetrable. I found listening through these passages exceedingly wearing, and gave up for a while to give myself a rest from it.
