Shallow and Superficial
My title says it all. It was a tedious listen from start to finish. Why even attempt a travelogue if you do not intend to provide information.

A great story,a lively narration!
I enjoyed the story ,an adventure full of nostalgia, visiting few prominent cities of India including Mumbai,Ahmedabad,Delhi, interacting with locals, discovering Indian cuisine, not so memorable visit to Agra of Taj due to the then poor roads and not expected cleanliness. The memorable train journey from Delhi to Darjeeling, finally landing in to the village of his grandfather with his son.The great grand son and grand son of a migrant to South Africa more than a century ago, from a village near Kolkatta, ever eager to find a sign somewhere of his roots lost in the passage of time.A great story of love for the elders,a lively narration indeed.I loved it.

Intresting travel account
very impressive account of search for roots after 117 years. live travel account. How much I feel that Ebrahim should have spend more time at ancestral village and carry much more about his grand father. But 117 years is huge gap and reaching to roots was worth the efforts.

If you've never been to India! Now is your chance.
How delightful to be taken along on this most fascinating of journeys with your esteemed self, Vincent Ebrahim.
Your energetic adventures were thoroughly enjoyable ( the music still plays in my head ) and although not without hiccups, your friendly manner, compassion and humour won the days. I was sad indeed, to say goodbye to you and your travels.

Please send Vincent to South Africa!
I have just returned from India and this brought me right back - from the sound of the traffic to the ‘ta dah!’ at the railway station. Fantastic.
Please get Vincent to take us around his native South Africa and share his memories of growing up, the culture and the people. He has the knack of totally involving you in his journey - such a pleasure to spend time in his company.

Didn’t want this audiobook to end !
I loved this series. It was a gentle introduction to travel literature for me & I will definitely look for similar titles. It would perhaps be better as a visual series, as there were so many descriptions of places, people & food that would have been fascinating to see. I wish it was a little longer, as it was disappointing when it ended. I listened to the last few chapters several times to try to make it last. India is the hero in this series & it made me more determined to travel there. :)

Wonderful
Thank you Vincent for sharing your journey to India. The gentle narration with the honking horns in the background set the scenes wonderfully, as I sit listening with a cup of chai. I love travelogues and I’m pleased to have joined you in your Indian Odyssey.

What is the music
I'm really enjoying this audio experience. I've been trying to find out what the music is - the song at the introduction to each section. I love it, but can't find any details anywhere, and even Shazam cannot identify it for me. Maybe it will become clearer when I have finished the whole audiobook, but does anyone know what it is and where I might listen to the whole thing?

Interesting and entertaining
As I am interested in Indian travel I enjoyed the narration and the accompanying background traffic sounds and music. The interviews were warm hearted and informative.
