A funny thing happened....

Unlike most men of his acquaintance, Gregory Bridgerton believes in true love. And he is convinced that when he finds the woman of his dreams, he will know in an instant that she is the one. And that is exactly what happened. Except....

She wasn’t the one. In fact, the ravishing Miss Hermione Watson is in love with another. But her best friend, the ever-practical Lady Lucinda Abernathy, wants to save Hermione from a disastrous alliance, so she offers to help Gregory win her over. But in the process, Lucy falls in love. With Gregory! Except....

Lucy is engaged. And her uncle is not inclined to let her back out of the betrothal, even once Gregory comes to his senses and realizes that it is Lucy, with her sharp wit and sunny smile, who makes his heart sing. And now, on the way to the wedding, Gregory must risk everything to ensure that when it comes time to kiss the bride, he is the only man standing at the altar....

Love love love

I love this entire series but this book might just be my favorite. I don’t know what to do with myself now that I’ve read them all 💔

Surprisingly Amazing

I was completely sure I wasn't going to like it. The series is really a bit of a hit or miss. But this one was just so charming and cute. I was overcome with emotions.

Gregory wasn't really in most of the series except for a handful of moments at the start and then in Eloise's book and Hyacinth. So, I had no idea what to expect. With most of the Bridgeton brothers they all somehow have this mystery temper that seems to come from no where (particularly, Benedict and Colin). But Gregory was just about the sweetest and and most delightful character in his own right with such a kind heart. He does get angry, but there's always a reason for it. Gregory is quite possibly the best Bridgeton brother.

Lucy is also amazing and has a personality I could certainly relate to. Her wit is just perfect. I adore her. I adore them.

Will say, I wish the author hadn't spent so much time on the wedding bit. Like yes, I know it's in the title, but it took way too long to wrap up that bit to get to Gregory and Lucy finally getting together. Would have love to have seen more of the after. As opposed to a mention of it. It's still a good story, just a ran a little to long when the outcome was always going to be Gregory and Lucy in the end.

Definitely recommend though!

Another fantastic Bridgerton story

Wonderful story and brilliant narrator. The second epilogue had me in tears. Excited to see how these books translate to the TV series.

Not the Best

I definitely struggled to finish it.

I don't know what's happening. I'm not enjoying Romance as well as I used to, but I think that Julia Quinn likes her embellishments to the point of making her readers dizzy and bored.

Roslyn Landor was, as always wonderful.

excellent narration another great story

it's surprising that the author is able to create so many interesting relationships. Bridgerton family seems like old friends, yet each relationship is unique

Great except for 2nd epilogue

Story was unusual . Lots of twists & turns. Only part made me cry when heroine looses a lot of blood at delivery of twins. U don’t know if she lives or dies. I always feel terrible when a mother of young children dies.

Disappointing

I have loved all Julia Quinn books but have to say I found this book a bit of a slog at times. It was missing the fun repartee of her other books.

least favorite of the Bridgerton series

I love the Bridgerton series, but the heroine in this one is simply annoying and immature. Hyacinth and Kate were the best thing about the book.

Another goody.

I liked this one as much as the others. The characterisation was very good. l enjoyed the story but l feel some bits were overwritten and repetitive but overall very entertaining.

again a little repetitive

After enjoying most of the series l find this one much the same.
i think a lot of it has to do with the male and female narration of the characters. The same voice and tone has been used for the main characters in every book and l felt like l was listening to the same people over and over. l admit to reading all the books in rapid succession which may have not helped.
Overall though it was good enough to keep me listening.
