About this listen

Product management has become a critical connective role for modern organizations, from small technology startups to global corporate enterprises. And yet the day-to-day work of product management remains largely misunderstood. In theory, product management is about building products that people love. The real-world practice of product management is often about difficult conversations, practical compromises, and hard-won incremental gains.

In this book, author Matt LeMay focuses on the CORE connective skills - communication, organization, research, execution - that can build a successful product management practice across industries, organizations, teams, and toolsets.

For current and aspiring product managers, this book explores:

  • On-the-ground tactics for facilitating collaboration and communication
  • How to talk to users and work with executives
  • The importance of setting clear and actionable goals
  • Using roadmaps to connect and align your team
  • A values-first approach to implementing Agile practices
  • Common behavioral traps that turn good product managers bad

I'm a product manager and I could relate each chapters in my daily ways of working. Instead of talking about abstract concepts, the author has laid out a path for any product manager to become better in her profession. Thoroughly enjoyed the book and the examples mentioned, kudos to the author.

The audiobook is very precise in its context and talks about the product management as a practice and the role of a product manager , with the real life examples two emphasise a particular topic. Since the book is divided into small topics with a less than 10 minute listening time, it is very easy to follow.I would recommend this book for those people who are in product management and also for those people who are planing career in product management

even if u replace the word "product manager" with any other role , the book still makes sense since it is so generic .
it's like when you ask a question and the MBA guy gives you flashy lengthy answer in a fancy tone at the end of which you are like "but everything you said is generic and non actionable".
at the end of this if someone asks me what did you learn ...I am like "I dnt know" 😐

generic words...nothing concrete
