FROM THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF LOST IN TIME
At CERN, a scientist has just made an incredible discovery—a breakthrough that may answer the deepest questions about human existence.
But what he's found is far more dangerous than he ever imagined.
Dr. Tyson Klein is a quantum physicist who has dedicated his entire life to his research. At CERN, he analyses data generated by the Large Hadron Collider, the world's biggest and most powerful particle accelerator. Now, Ty believes he's found a pattern in its output. It looks like an organised data stream, being broadcast over what he calls a quantum radio.
Could it be a signal from another universe? A message sent from the future? Or something else entirely?
As Ty peels back the layers of his discovery, he learns that what he's found isn't what he thought it was. The encoded message is far more profound. It may alter our understanding of human existence and the universe.
But Ty is not the only one looking for it. Someone has been following his research for a long time. And they'll do anything to prevent him from unravelling what is being broadcast by the quantum radio...
Because the first one to discover the truth may well control the future.

Can't wait for book two
Very polarizing reviews and for good reason.
I believe it's the intention of the reader.
If you're looking for a new twist on something familiar and a way to occupy yourself with a good story and great characters, then you've found your story.
If you tend to dissect the facts and demand an explanation for the science, I warn, this is not the story to give you a plausible, sound, scientific, evidence-based way to travel through time and space. If the author could. I doubt he'd be writing.
I'm a day out from reading and the story is still with me. I find myself pondering some of the themes. like choices. and looking forward to what I think may happen next. I have a few theories that I am excited to see if I got right and really need Netflix to come through with a series. I'd love to see this story on the screen.

Fun story
While this story is comprised of familiar story elements, it was executed wonderfully and I enjoyed it. It could be the beginning of a series but it stands well on its own as it has a complete storyline. Soft sci-fi with good character development and fun premise. Great narrator too.

Brilliant, gripping and well plotted
Loved this, the characters felt real, the plot was quite suspenseful, the plot didn’t get bogged down with exposition
I’ll be watching for the next edition eagerly

Terrible Alternate History
This is one of the worst stories to which I have listened on Audible (and I have 1500 audiobooks in my collection). The write up by the Sunday Times is totally misleading. This story is about an alternate timeline for the outcome of WWII. That's been done many times. This novel does it poorly with grating characters who talk about mundane pablum. Totally unbelievable stuff.
Don't wast your credit.

Even Ray Porter Couldn’t Save it
It feels like the author slapped this story together with little or no proofreading or editing. Characters behave inconsistently and there are silly errors with the timeline. Suspense building seems overly forced.
Honestly, there are some pretty good plot elements, and parts of the story are very enjoyable. Overall, though, it’s a pretty terrible listen.

A meandering mess with some daddy issues.
This could have been a really good story, but there way too much exposition before getting anywhere. There were many times I thought, "Will you PLEASE hurry up and get to the darned point?". It became too frustrating after a short while and made it a real struggle to get through the entire book.
The author must have had daddy issues. Two of the main protagonists have fathers who had left or were gone while they were rather young yet somewhat reunite with them.
There's a point near the end where we're kind of left hanging. We don't know if the Pax agreed to the suggestion or not. We're just left to assume that they did.
I guess what upsets me most is that there was so much wasted potential for the story.
The only thing that kept me listening was Ray Porter, but even then, he didn't seem as engaged as he has been in other audiobooks he's performed.
All in all, I found this one extremely lacking.

Too stupid for words
Very sad. My favorite narrator. Terrible story. Shame on you Riddle. Just nonsense. Call it magic don’t pretend that you know anything about quantum physics or any biology or any science.

A Little Bit Sliders, a Little Bit Quantum Leap
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book, Ray Porter makes it all the better.
This book is a mashup of two TV shows that I enjoyed in my youth, one called “Sliders” and the other called “Quantum Leap”. Both were great shows and this book puts a different spin on the same concept.

Gave it a 3, but now it's a 2 due to the weak weak frustrating ending.

Awesome
A.G. has done it again!!! I'm already excited to see what comes next. It started a little slow for me but it picked up quickly and never stopped. The entire plot was mind blowing and I love the 4 main characters.

Soap opera/hail motivational speakers
This began as a really promising hard sci-fi story. Then transitioned very briefly into spy thriller, before devolving into motivational speaker worship.
A character was introduced who "could see what no one else saw" in history and "wanted to set the historical record straight" if "only we had his words" then all would be good. I thought to myself, oh, standard hackneyed bad guy...but no, suddenly characters pop into being who have deep, profound universal truths they want to impart upon the world...and it all sounds like a Tony Robbins blurb on audible.
If you can't write sci-fi, don't masquerade trash lit as sci fi.
As for Ray Porter, Ray, you do a really, really good job...on adult males. When you get to children and women it's cringe inducing to listen to you and I find myself hating every minute of it. You're a damn good reader but you need to buckle down and do something about your child and female voices. This isn't the first book I've had this problem with your narration and I've seen zero progress over the years so if you read this, take this for what it is meant, namely constructive criticism and do something about it.

It was ok
I can't say I enjoyed that much. The idea was interesting but it found it a little predictable and was too drawn out in a few areas. Overall 3 stars from me.

Didn’t hang together at all
Having recently listened to the author’s Atlantis Plague series, and then the Winter World / Solar War audiobooks, this felt like a mild recycling of concepts from both (and I don’t just mean “The Birthright”.)
Basically a bunch of uninspired ideas, which don’t survive scrutiny.
Narration was fine - not great but not a distraction.
If you feel short-changed by this read / listen, then I recommend you try Blake Crouch’s books. They won’t disappoint…

Not the best
Ive listened to a lot of Riddle’s books and when I see a new one, get it because they’re generally good stories well told by the narrator.
The narrator in this book is great! The story and speed of growth into the story was SLOW and I felt there was a lot of padding and filler between actual story relevant incidents. Nothing particularly groundbreaking happening until 7 hours in. I’ve now got 3 hours left and I’m finding I zone out of the story entirely because there’s so much blah chat between moving the story forward. The narration actor is great .
I’ll finish it, I’m still a Riddle fan, but this isn’t the greatest.

Absolutely Brilliant
Absolutely brilliant, multi layered story, with twists and turns all the way. Keeps you guessing all the way. Another stonkingly great book by this great author.
Read by the amazing Ray Porter who can do no wrong when it comes to Audible books.

Fantastic!
I absolutely loved this! I'm sad the next one isn't ready to jump straight into, as I'm now completely hooked! The story itself has everything I grew up loving and being interested in (science, history, singing and psychology); what more could I want?! It was excellent, and the performance was equally as great. This audiobook might not be for everyone, but it was absolutely my kind of book, through and through!

Better than okay
It’s a reasonably good story and of course beautifully read by Ray Porter. Like many books these days, it’s a bit of an advertisement for an obvious book 2 and book 3 - which always leaves me feeling as if I’ve been conned. I want resolution on my stories - otherwise I’m no better off than when I started. If reading a potential series is okay with you, I can recommend it.
