Rakhihas her hands full, juggling a creative dry spell, raising her daughter, and trying to save the Berkeley teahouse she and her best friend, Belle, own. But greater challenges are to come. When a national tragedy turns her world upside down and Rakhi needs her mother’s strength and wisdom more than ever, she loses her in a freak car accident. Too metaphysical

I didn't identify with any of these characters. The story line was so so, but I really didn't like all the metaphysical weirdness. I also got tired of listening to the narrator's interpretation of the little girl's voice which was a constant whine. Not this author's best work in my opinion.
