That experience is what drives him to work relentlessly to empower people living in the toughest areas to envision and create a better future for themselves.
Disrupt the norm. That is the challenge Hamish, a Nationally Distinguished Principal, calls educators, students, families, and communities to accept. And as he authentically shares his life experiences and adventures in this audiobook, you, too, will be inspired to...

STRONG Leadership, "Documentaryish"
There is no doubt that the ideas in this book are the principles schools should be based upon. Sometimes deep down one knows what they should be doing, but are afraid to put it into action. The author is definitely fearless, relentless, and a game changer. It did read a little like more of an autobiography than a reference for educational leadership; however, excellent wisdom and advice is given throughout such as it being okay to "Love" your students. It was also inspiring to see what the writer had accomplished and is still doing to achieve success even in underachieving schools.

Powerful story of leading with love and kindness
Hamish is inspiring. He loves kids and makes it known. I loved reading his book and love pulling strategies from it. I have told my students to not allow anyone steal their future from them. This is powerful and easy for students to understand. Too often students give up on themselves when they should fight harder and go one more round. I love Hamish's love for students and love that he is transforming how educators talk about love and relationships in education. Be relentless and go one more round for kids. They deserve it.

Eh, didn’t love it
I heard Hamish speak in public and enjoyed his performance. This book was much more of the same. Very much a feeling of look what I did, look how great I am. It may have come across differently reading it instead of listening to it, but it was very hard to get all the way through it.
But obviously there are many who feel differently than I do.
