I enjoyed reading this book. It had its share of funny moments along with many serious and heartfelt ones. The story gave me an insightful glimpse into what men and women often expect and desire in relationships. What stayed with me most was the idea that sometimes, even when love is present, a person can still feel lonely within a relationship.

This book is entirely “showing and not telling.” After a short, fun beginning, it disintegrated into extremely boring and never ending cliched descriptions of how strongly they feel about one another. Instead of the characters talking, all we get is their thoughts about one another. Painfully boring, sickeningly sweet, unimaginative, repetitive thoughts.
Also, it is NOT pronounced “ex-avier,” cringed every time I heard that.
I cannot believe Emily Henry has praised Jimenez. Emily’s books are everything this is not!
