Another great story!
Another great story - shame about the narration!! Sophie Ablett is horrendous!
I stuck with it because I love Lesley Pearse's books and the story did not disappoint. If you can get past the appalling narration and terrible put on voices, stick with it. Never shall I listen to this narrator again.

Lovely story shite narration
Having read the book and listened to the audio book the story is one of my favourites, it’s beautifully written and a truly gripping and beautiful story. The narration however is terrible. She’s tries to put on voices for each character but they’re just embarrassing ruins the whole book really. I’ll be reading it myself next time

Great story!
Lots of people moaned about the narrator but she was fine, some voices a bit odd, but it didn't distract from a great story

astounding
about a mother who loved one daughter and hated the other.
a mother made one daughters life a living hell and lavished love and attention on the other.
but further into the book we find out the truth about the mother and as we hate her for her actions we find out just how she behaved in the manor she did.

Great story but narrator got on my nerves
Love all of Lesley Pearse'swork but this particular narrator grated on me. Unfortunately slightly short tongued, pronunciation frustratingly off and the whiney high pitched or extremely low tone she used for the different characters was just irritating. That said she was consistent throughout. The story had many twists and turns, nothing new there, you find yourself being led this way and that only to be led back again. Solid characters in a solid story. Some may find it over long but for me it was necessary to reveal the tale. My advice is get comfy, sit back and relax for a few sessions and enjoy this book.

Awful narrator
The story was good but spoiled by the awful, sometimes laughable narration of the characters.

Narration was off
The narration was off. Too forced. The men sounded dreadful and the main character’s voice was way too high.

Worst Narration Ever!
I love Lesley Pearce! Not one of her books has ever disappointed me, which is the only reason I persevered to the end of this story. I have no complaints about the story itself. BUT, I wish I had read the reviews first. The narrator was so bad. I can’t understand how this audio book was ever released.
