Publisher's Summary

In the face of scorn and disbelief, Jesus Christ announced his kingdom. In the face of hatred and death, he demonstrated its power. In this 12-lecture series, Dr. Sinclair Ferguson explains how the Sermon on the Mount equips us to live a kingdom life in a fallen world. Dr. Ferguson highlights Christ's exhortations to live counter-culturally, to examine the deeper implications of God's law, and to rest in the knowledge of God as father for the cure of all our anxieties.

A solid teaching

this is a solid biblical teaching on the Sermon on the Mount. it requires me to look at my own life, and ask whether i am the wise man who builds his house on the word of my Lord Jesus.

Kingdom Life Now

Dr. Ferguson clearly explains how first century Believers and 21st century Believers can avoid the sin of the Pharisees and grow in Christ-likeness in ever-increasing measure. While many Bible teachers todah teach that the Sermon on the Mount is for some future time Ferguson shows it as the freedom giving message it is.

Learn to walk as one who forgives because he is forgiven, how to identify your real needs and trust God for them. Learn what it means to love God and others from the heart.

A wonderful message for any Christian young or old!

Excellent Message

The most important speech in all of Christendom has a great reading and interpretation here. Sometimes the Dr. was a little dry in his presentation, but the substance never wavered. Not the most exciting speaker (certainly not the most boring), but I learned and picked up quite a lot of valuable insights in this reading of The Sermon. I highly recommend.

Excellent

I've always loved the sermon on the mount. This audio book is an excellent teaching on what Jesus really meant to be a follow of Jesus. Some times I read chapter 7of Matthew and I really didn't understand it fully it was hard. Mr Ferguson breaks it down verse by verse really speaks so you can really understand what Jesus is talking about. Mr Ferguson narrates his own book and gives you other parts of the Bible to really explain. I have a new knowledge on the Sermon of the Mount and I know I understand it fully.

Truth is still be proclaimed<br />

The truth that comes from the word of the lord and from the mouths of his children is a great gift.

Excellent Teaching

Sinclair Ferguson shares a depth of relationship with Christ Jesus that is palpable and intensely rich. Based on the beautiful words of the Sermon on the Mount... we are called as citizens of a New Kingdom...as Jesus outlines our new identities...making firm who we truly are...and to whom we belong. This leads us to the feet of our King Jesus.
