About this listen

There is a plot to kidnap Queen Victoria and only Sherlock Holmes can stop it...or can he?

Investigating a crime seemingly unconnected to the Royal Family, Holmes & Watson uncover a conspiracy to kidnap Queen Victoria and destabilise the British Empire.

With a ticking clock to her next public engagement, Holmes and Watson must discover who is behind the plot and locate her majesty, while Mycroft tries to keep the monarch’s disappearance a secret from the British people.

At first, Holmes believes Moriarty is responsible for the abduction, but when the Napoleon of Crime is proved innocent, Holmes must work with his arch-nemesis to rescue the Queen.

An Audible Original drama starring Nicholas Boulton as Sherlock Holmes and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith as Dr. John Watson alongside a full cast.

Interesting story twists, however too many characters. Ivy character could have been made better . it's very
unlike of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but will enjoy the story.

Intriguing

Story is well woven. For that I credit the author. Performance throughout the book was top notch as well.

Could have avoided the colonial understanding of the society of India pre Independence. A little research will render the author better understanding of the politics behind all this talk about minorities were subjugated in pre Independence India.

Could have avoided reference to alleged minority submission by majority religion in pre Independence India

I've listened to a few other post Doyle, Sherlock Holmes novels and have always come away disappointed with either the story or narration or both. This one is different. It's not just good, it's outstanding. As good as the original!

Absolutely Brilliant!

The last two chapters were memorable. But the middle (most of the story) could have been edited for the sake of conciseness. Also, a few sound effects were overused.

Dragging in between
