Almost perfect

Everything in this book is excellent. The characters, the plot, and all that. However, I feel the ending is the way it is to accommodate a second book. It should have been a single book.

Remarkable!!!!

This series has been my most favourite. And the voice artists have done quite the job with it.

Special applause for the voice of Kaz. He exactly sounds the way writer has portrayed him. Outstanding performance.

LOVED IT!

One of the best books I've read (so to say) in a long time. The plot, the narration, the characters - everything is top notch.

A complete blockbuster!!!!

What a ride!!!! After so many days i read something so fantastic that it will be forever in my mind. Absolutely amazing experience i had. The atmosphere is so rich, dark and haunting. you will never get bored. From first to last it was taught with action. Each and every character is very well written and described. There is no unnecessary descriptions but the actions and thinking of the characters gave you the insight of their moulds. The multiple point of view also made it more interesting to read and hold the development of the story.

The only problem is that if you are gone through Berdugo's GRISHAVERSE then the terminologies will be much easier to follow. But without that it can be a little overwhelming for some readers. I am through with the Shadow and Bone trilogy but still i listened to the first chapter atleast thrice to get into. After the fourth chapter everything started to make sense. Also i thought that if the story was made for the adults it would have been much more interesting and jam-packed. Apart from that i loved the story, the plot, the characters and the world. It was fascinating. And i am a KANEJ fan indeed. No dought it is my new favourite fantasy ❣️

Good narration!

Wanted to try out Leigh Bardugo's work after reading the Ninth House, so started with this duology. I would say that book was very slow and confusing at the beginning with the author just throwing around a lot of names and characters. Only after the 4th chapter, I felt the plot beginning to form. The heist was planned and most anticipated with the many complicated characters and their respected powers. However, the way it all went down did disappoint me a little. It could have been better for sure. I would still like to give this 3.5 stars for the climax which left me finally interested in the story and wanting for more. Looking forward to the next read- Crooked kingdom and hoping it would be better.
