Larger than life frontiersman Kit Carson
Would you consider the audio edition of Soldier in Buckskin to be better than the print version?
This audio edition brings the story to life through skilful voice portrayal of each character and as a result the story flows effortlessly from scene to scene.
What other book might you compare Soldier in Buckskin to, and why?
White Fang. Both stories are based on feel good life adventures where the main character is respected yet bold and fearless. They can both be easily related to in their era.
What does Jeff Harding bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
He potraits Kit Carson so well that you can just picture the different scenes being played out before your eyes rather than in your ears. Very masterful naration.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
The book flows very well from one scene straight into the next making it difficult to put down. Well worth reading in one sitting.
Any additional comments?
The story of Kit Carson takes us back to the pioneer years in the early 1800 hundreds and I find it facinating to hear the outrageous almost unbelievable brevado larger than life legends like Kit Carson pulled off over and over again.
