Publisher's Summary

New York Times bestselling author Simon R. Green returns to the "bizarre and gleefully dangerous backdrop" (Jim Butcher, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Dresden Files) of the Nightside with this landmark collection of short fiction.

Welcome to the Nightside. It's the secret heart of London, beating to its own rhythm, pumping lifeblood through the veins of its streets and alleys hidden in eternal darkness, where creatures of the night congregate and where the sun is afraid to shine. It's the place to go if you're looking to indulge the darker side of your nature—and to hell with the consequences.

Tales from the Nightside presents ten macabre mysteries that shine a dim beam into the neighborhood's darkest corners to reveal things that should never come to light. Take a walk with such deadly and dangerous denizens of the Nightside as Razor Eddie, Dead Boy, and Larry Oblivion as they encounter things even more inhuman and inhumane than they are. And join John Taylor, the PI with a knack for finding lost things, as he confronts Sir Francis Varney, King of the Vampires, in a never-before-published novella-length adventure.

There may be nothing to be afraid of in the dark, but there's plenty to be afraid of in the Nightside…

A worthy addition to the nightside world!

For fans of the nightside series, this book will not steer you wrong! It has a one-shot featuring the origin of Larry oblivion,Razor Eddie and His Origin, the story of how Dead Boy came to be, (this story is a reprint) and, of course, what collection of nightside stories would be complete without the further adventures of John Taylor, including novella that seems to take place sometime after the bride wore black leather! For all fans of the nightside, you'll DEFINITELY want to get this!

The night side: a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to stay.

More night side please! For fans of the series this is a treasure trove of the things that make the series special. I would not recommend this for people new to the series.

The Missing Pieces

Classic Nightside style and finally the origin stories of Dead Boy and Razor Eddie as only Mark Vietor can narrate it.

Tales is a winner.

What did you love best about Tales from the Nightside?

It was great to revisit some old tales and get new as well. Worth the credit!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Tales from the Nightside?

The new story. Was great to get a lead into it with the old tales. It made it that much better.

What does Marc Vietor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His distinctive voices and familiarity with the world makes you feel the Nightside is only a misstep away.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

With my busy and hectic schedule family and work it was nice to have this broken down and be separate stories for me. I would have loved to do it all at once but for me Tales was great bite by bite.

Any additional comments?

Simon R Green is a master at his craft and Mark Vietor does his world justice. This is well worth a credit. My only hope is that Tales of the Hidden World is coming to Audible soon as well.

enough to get you intrigued

Short stories that are fun, and enough to look out for the full books. Being supernatural, the conclusions to the stories can be a bit weird and unexpected. Still liked the idea
