Editorial Reviews
"The Adventure of the Missing Three-Quarter" contains two classic elements of a Sherlock Holmes story: a missing person and sly deduction (the results of which are naturally withheld until the last minute). But it's also remarkable for its less common use of a scent-hound and for a reference to the famous detective's cocaine usage. As usual Holmes' right-hand man, Dr. Watson, narrates this adventure, which first appeared in the 1903-1904 collection The Return of Sherlock Holmes. And who better to narrate this essential piece of the canon than the late Edward Raleigh, whose inimitable refinement in performance earned him numerous awards, including the Golden Voice.
