Intelligence is usually seen as the ability to think and learn, but in a rapidly changing world, there's another set of cognitive skills that might matter more: the ability to rethink and unlearn. In recent months, the pandemic has forced us all to reevaluate our assumptions about health and safety and multiple acts of police brutality have challenged most of us to reconsider our responsibility for fighting racism. Yet in our daily lives, too many of us still favor the comfort of conviction over the discomfort of doubt.

What valuable company is nobody building? The next Bill Gates will not build an operating system. The next Larry Page or Sergey Brin won't make a search engine. If you are copying these guys, you aren't learning from them. It's easier to copy a model than to make something new: doing what we already know how to do takes the world from 1 to 10, adding more of something familiar. Every new creation goes from zero to one. This book is about how to get there.

Modern day Meditations by Marcus ‘Naval Ravikant’ Aurelius!
This audio book is clearly a modern day Meditations equivalent. So much information is packed into it. Was very helpful to declutter my mind especially when I was struggling with a few thoughts. It will not make the yes/no decisions for you but give you enough clarity on what basis should you make your decisions and to stick by it. I took several notes during the listen and plan to return to listening every once in a while. Thanks Naval Ravikant!

So full of wisdom
This is a book about how to get rich and how to lead a happy and peaceful life. Very practical and relatable.
A few lessons I shall start incorporating immediately (after all, like he says, time is everything)
1. Toning down my compulsive need to finish a book-Finite time, infinite books
2. Understand the basics well-Take time to understand concepts very well and not get bogged down by fancy terminology
3. Invest in my learning every single day-most of the things one learns out of the formal education system
4. Be honest and authentic to my true self
5. Figure out my specific knowledge. I think I am going to follow this book with Ikigai-something I have had unread on my Kindle for the longest time
6. Deepen my practice of meditation.

Impeccable Advice for Our Era
Society and we individuals who comprise it need this book. It's so ironic that Naval uses the catchy line "How to Get Rich" and he means it not only in terms of money, but even more so in terms of awareness, contentment, aim, and purpose. If this doesn't help you, I'm afraid you might need to consult the Buddha himself (I'm joking).
This book truly is a gem, and perhaps is the most re-readable of all those I own. Thank you all for putting this wildly useful and actionable book together.

Very OK
Most of the topics covered were great and had good tips. Although did not appreciate the end on his view of religion, but to each their own. Was not much new to what I already know, however the delivery made you not even remember what was just talked about. So incredibly monotone and the narrator sounded bored as he spoke. Honestly wish I wouldn’t have purchased, better books like this elsewhere.

I was recommended this book by a friend who I greatly admire and respect,so it was a no brainer to start it- and I'm glad I did.
It is full of wisdom both new and old,and I took away so many insights from it.
The narrator is both charming and thought provoking with his pauses and refirmation.

Inspiring quick read.
Naval might not be someone that the everyday person has come across. I randomly came across him from reading Tim Ferriss Tribe of Mentors. Navel interview had such a profound effect on me that I've got a phone reminder that goes off every wed telling me to reread his chapter.
Naval does not write this book. It's a collection of his thoughts, blogs, tweets and interview neatly repackaged as a guide to life covering wellbeing, wealth and happiness. Naval is known for championing being your authentic self, and the book explains the step he took to live a life that allows him to be precisely that.
It's full of insightful and inspiring quotable, as Eric has managed to create a book that covers each of the above themes individually, and it's written in a way where you can dip in and out, not needing to read it from cover to cover. It's a small book, I listened to the audible, which is just under five hours long.
For me, it's a great book to start your 2022 (or any time in life) if you’re looking for some inspiration.

Terrible messages in this book.
I couldn’t get past 80 minutes. Essentially telling people to judge everything on a dollar value alone. For someone to say it would be better to hire an assistant for their mother as opposed to helping them speaks volumes in who they are as a person and where their values are. Don’t bother if you value more things in the world than just dollars.

A must listen
I had listened to some podcasts and interviews with Naval and admired his intellect and ways of thinking. This book does a great job of condensing some great ideas, quotes, mental models, advice from Naval in a way that enjoyable and inspiring to listen to.

Worth a Listening…
Generalize advice, but interestingly it connects, and makes sense.
Note the “book” is a free download online.

Poor narration on otherwise good content
Save your money and read the book for free. The narration is poor and boring.
