Publisher's Summary

Getting rich is not just about luck; happiness is not just a trait we are born with. These aspirations may seem out of reach, but building wealth and being happy are skills we can learn.

So what are these skills, and how do we learn them? What are the principles that should guide our efforts? What does progress really look like?

Naval Ravikant is an entrepreneur, philosopher, and investor who has captivated the world with his principles for building wealth and creating long-term happiness. The Almanack of Naval Ravikant is a collection of Naval’s wisdom and experience from the last 10 years, shared as a curation of his most insightful interviews and poignant reflections. This isn’t a how-to book, or a step-by-step gimmick. Instead, through Naval’s own words, you will learn how to walk your own unique path toward a happier, wealthier life.

Modern day Meditations by Marcus ‘Naval Ravikant’ Aurelius!

This audio book is clearly a modern day Meditations equivalent. So much information is packed into it. Was very helpful to declutter my mind especially when I was struggling with a few thoughts. It will not make the yes/no decisions for you but give you enough clarity on what basis should you make your decisions and to stick by it. I took several notes during the listen and plan to return to listening every once in a while. Thanks Naval Ravikant!

Very basic advice and nothing new or insightful

The book felt like a con-job with the advice seeming very rehashed and repetitive. And there is no new insights and thought provoking hard truths.

So full of wisdom

This is a book about how to get rich and how to lead a happy and peaceful life. Very practical and relatable.

A few lessons I shall start incorporating immediately (after all, like he says, time is everything)
1. Toning down my compulsive need to finish a book-Finite time, infinite books
2. Understand the basics well-Take time to understand concepts very well and not get bogged down by fancy terminology
3. Invest in my learning every single day-most of the things one learns out of the formal education system
4. Be honest and authentic to my true self
5. Figure out my specific knowledge. I think I am going to follow this book with Ikigai-something I have had unread on my Kindle for the longest time
6. Deepen my practice of meditation.

Makes you realize a lot if things

The book resonates with you a lot, it's written in way that is different than typical non-fiction books.

You may not like it first but it gets very interesting soon.

Go ahead, will not regret.

Interesting

Heard about him on a TikTok. It wasn’t just a brag list of accomplishments or a step by step guide to happiness. It contained many insightful observations about living life in our modern times and rules that he lived by. He provided several lists of books, blogs, etc., that he utilizes. It left me wondering if life is really that simple.

Love his perspective! Great narration!!

This isn’t a motivational book! It’s Naval’s perspective! Very straight forward and very plain naval explains his way of life! Loves it! Loves the narrator too!

Lots of filler upfront

The first 4-5 chapters were a tedious, repetitive list of his achievements. Waiting for the content to start was insufferable.

Sharp, snappy and salient insight into the mind of Naval.

Sharp, snappy and salient insight into the mind of Naval.

What I loved about this book is the fact Naval hasn’t written it to make money or sell himself, but that it is simply a collection of his thoughts across the years and platforms.

I have taken a great deal from this and, should I follow his guidance, I am sure my life will thrive.
